Vinyl Me Please Essentials

I mean I MIGHT be able to add it as a second add on. I'm not sure if you can get the same album twice in the same order. I know you could before but I feel like they may have stopped this?
I don't like Mars Volta, like at all. So I'm waiting to see what the other tracks are and will likely go for one of those or swap. Either way, one option would be for me to keep it for you since Essentials has been my main track and just add a second track for myself.
You fellas are saints. I'm just thinking about if it sells out immediately after it's officially announced, you might not be able to swap for it the next month or do the add-on. Though if you can add on the same track, that would be amazing and I would definitely be down to ride your coattails there. More wondering if in order to guarantee getting it I should join now and be an incumbent member when it's Volta's month. Hopefully the box set and individual Clouds Hill releases temper demand for VMP's a little bit.

Is Mars Volta right away next month? Since I already have Essentials as my main track, it would be guaranteed for me.

Has an Essentials track sold out immediately before? I don't really want to sign up for anything this month, but hoping to snag Mars Volta next.

Queen I think did. Probably others, but I can't recall. The other tracks have for sure though.

I think this months Doors also sold out, Queen as Turbo mentioned sold out too. OutKast did too right?

Ok, so @BjorgenFjorgen it's probably easiest if I do this instead of @Mather since he actually wants a copy and there's no guarantee he can get two if it sells out fast. I'll keep the Mars Volta and it'll be yours (for the US$33 cost of whatever add-on I'll make for myself). We can talk about it again later (I guess mid-July sometime), but I can also check it for defects and sort that out if anything comes up before flipping it to you.

I think this is the safest plan. I know I've been blocked from getting two copies before.

oh essentials selling out right away has happened a good amount of times before... hell everyone was so baffled by the 2 month streak of gorillaz and fiona apple they both sold out within minutes

others are guessing Album II by Loudon Wainwright III or Time of Last Prosecution by Bill Fay

but I think its Karen if just because of LITA.... there is a pattern with the "crate digger" albums

either they are very obscure albums doing sounds from other countries from now again.

or they are just LITA represses... if you can think of an exception that can prove that Bill Fay or Loudan Wainwright III are in the running.. i will retract this.. otherwise.. the fact that LITA has the rights to Karen Dalton, the album has a ton of big cosigns from artists like Nick Cave and Joanna Newsom, and it just got a repress very recently that even that is super sold out... i think its definitely most likely

I am actually so hyped up for the September Essentials ROTM! If it is either A Tribe Called Quest’s Midnight Marauders, Wu-Tang Clan’s Enter The Wu-Tang or Black Moon’s Enta Da Stage, I will absolutely lose my shit and will be celebrating my ass off!!!!! 🍾🤟🥳

I just want to know what it is!!! I’d even be really happy with Digable Planets’ Reachin’, but I hope it’s not it because the Light In The Attic reissue sounded great! That album doesn’t really need the VMP treatment whereas those other three hip-hop records I feel need it, even if the recording for Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers) is a bit claustrophobic and rough!

I saw Black Moon mentioned and I somehow have never heard this name, and I'm generally pretty familiar with a good amount of classic hip hop. What am I missing here?

All said Marauders is my all time fav Tribe album, and up there for my top hip hop albums overall, so I'd be ecstatic to get a good pressing.

There's almost no chance you don't know Who Got Da Props, and probably also I Got Cha Opin and maybe How Many MC's too... But the whole album is absolutely sick, so I guess you're missing one of the best "underground" East coast hip hop albums of the early 90's? I'd love a Marauders remaster but this is a close second.

Enta Da Stage got rave reviews but sold poorly. I imagine the rise of G-Funk and Wu-Tang had a hand in burying this one back a bit out of the mainstream but it's a solid album through and through. Buckshot when he was still Buckshot Shorty, the debut of Smif-N-Wessun, production by and introduction of Da Beatminerz and a guest spot from Havoc of Mobb Deep. Besides being a sick album, it's a pretty sweet piece of hip hop history.
