Tool fans catching strays in the Kayne Debate??
I've been OGT since the first EP back in '92, but let's not pretend Tool Fans aren't Tool Fans.....

Listen Kanye don't stereotype all of us.I've been OGT since the first EP back in '92, but let's not pretend Tool Fans aren't Tool Fans.....
Funny enough I wasn't a huge fan of Clapton to begin with and only discovered his racist comments later on in life. It was the quickest decision to internally cancel someone I've ever had. Like "Really? Oh I guess I'll just go back to not listening to Clapton then - boy has my life not been changed by these revelations".The great thing about Clapton is that he revealed his racism a looooong time ago while he was young.
See, after the first three is where it got interesting. No shade on the College trilogy which are classic albums in the hip-hop sense but albums after that is were he started taking chances and truly following his muse. At this point it’s hard for me to recommend any of his albums but if you wanted to just to see if you could get a better understanding of the Kanye hype I would recommend exploring from 808s through The Life Of Pablo. They contain some of the most compelling music of the 21st century.I'm a big hip hop fan, and right from the beginning I haven't been able to understand the Kanye hype. I'll admit I stopped even trying after the first three,

Loving the Layla outro on Goodfellas in the context of the movie is about as much enjoyment as I get from Clapton's music.Fortunately he was never part of my generation until he hit MTV with that tears in Heaven song and that was enough for me to never give a rip.
Tool’s fanbase, at least at my small midwestern high school; had heavy crossover appeal between the artsy kids that listened to Korn and Marylyn Manson (talk about a problematic artist) and painted their fingernails black and the and the Metallica loving Jock/Burnouts that wore sleeve Pantera T-shirts and chewed tobacco while lifting weights. Everybody love some Tool.100% this is expected tool fan behavior
It’s okay to still enjoy Derek and The Dominos because Duane Allman was a badass.Loving the Layla outro on Goodfellas in the context of the movie is about as much enjoyment as I get from Clapton's music.
NahAPC >>>> Tool.
It needs to be said everyone. Sorry.
I will die on this motherfucking hill.
I am not a big enough Tool/A Perfect Circle fan to weigh in much more beyond my initial response.I will die on this motherfucking hill.
Good cause I have not much more than "I like the first two APC albums far more than that one Tool album I bought cause I thought that one song on the radio was pretty rad".I am not a big enough Tool/A Perfect Circle fan to weigh in much more beyond my initial response.
I just picked up 3 sealed copies of Tool’s Lateralus from Goodwill for $9.80 a piece. If not for that the only Tool album I would own would be a copy of Undertow that I picked up for cheap about 5 years ago and I would be fine with that.Good cause I have not much more than "I like the first two APC albums far more than that one Tool album I bought cause I thought that one song on the radio was pretty rad".

What if I told you that one tool album was ÆNIMA?I could give you APC's first 2 albums >>> than Tool's last 2 albums.
I could even give you APC's first 2 albums >>> than Tool's first 2 albums (though I don't believe APC have any single song better than "Prison Sex" and a close call on "Sober")
But with ÆNIMA and Lateralus in the field, I just can't get behind APC >>> Tool. And I very much love both.
...having seen each if them twice (in the same year both times, 16 years apart) I would also say APC in concert <<< Tool in concert. And again, I very much loved both!
808s definitively changed the game.I've put some thought into it and I will amend my previous statement:
Kanye might not have 'changed the game', what he did do however was advance the ball for mainstream rap without gimmicks or promoting the gangsta lifestyle.
Spin it again? What if I told you that one tool album was ÆNIMA?
