Vinyl Me Please Rap & Hip Hop

So out of the loop with this BS, but can you not add RHH now or something? I see it's telling me it's sold out... I've been bouncing around tracks for a while now to get what I want, and adding the ones I think I may want. Probably not their intended use of the track swap, but I didn't intend to pay for a club that sells out of things I've already paid for.

But you didn't pay for RHH if you are just now trying to swap for it. You paid for whatever track is your primary. I think they DO intend for you to use swaps to "get what you want", but you have a primary track that you are guaranteed to get.

Yeah makes sense but that's the issue sort of the issue to me. I don't want to pay for Hud Dreems just to get a chance to get some vaguely define "Def Jam Classic". Makes sense to them, but as a user it's annoying to add and pay for a record you don't want a month in advance.

The dig at VMP about selling out was in reference to when I play by their rules but still get screwed (see Nat Turner and the damaged OutKast). My point is really just that even when you do pay for the track you can still get screwed, so the measures they've put in place to protect against this don't leave me in good faith.

When Tical was announced I went over to my account to check it and the R&HH sub was missing from my orders (even though I have been subbed since the beginning and hadn't changed anything). I tried adding it back but it said it was sold out. After a lot of faffing CS ended up swapping my essentials for the R&HH rotm. Last month I went back on again and ended up swapping the essentials again as I still couldn't add the R&HH sub.

I have now emailed yet again to try and get them to add the sub to my regular account as it seems like this month will be a big release and I dont want to miss out. Whats driving me mad about all this is that its not an error on my side, I never changed any settings and just want it back to how it has been for the past 2 years!

Yeah this is worse than my situation because I did drop RHH because I didn't want HUD Dreams and there was nothing I was interested in swapping for. And due to the absolutely crap system VMP has its nearly impossible to drop and move around your subs so they're set up the way you like. So my only option was to drop RHH, as it wouldn't let me drop Classics or Essentials or change my track. It's happened in the past like this too. YOUR situation on the other hand is far worse because THEY dropped you for no reason and now won't put you back in while others here have had success just asking... It sucks but it's the usual with them...

Yeah it hasnt really affected me yet (as in I have still been able to get the R&HH by dropping the essentials) but its a lo of hassle and if theres a particularity big month (which it sounds like this could be) then it will likely mean I miss out on the R&HH

You won't be able to add it. It'll say sold out. BUUUUT @Selaws I just talked to Tyler and he switched me back to RHH so it seems that he knows how to do it, Jason tried for me yesterday but it didn't work so I'm not sure what Tyler's doing differently but anyhow mission accomplished!
 
Problem is from a consumer perspective you shouldn't have to email a CS rep and beg to switch on speculation that you might like the RHH pick this month. Yeah blah blah their back stock and their profit margins, but what does that matter to me as a subscriber?

Feeling a strong cancel coming on as soon as I get to a month that has no worthwhile options on the track I get stuck on, since it's pretty much impossible to switch into an option you would like better without backdoor assistance.

One thing's for sure, Wu albums are going to get even more high profile after this Hulu show drops in two months. Better grab all those early albums before they spike in price and demand like the Queen and Elton John used records have recently.

Personally not doing so hot on this front... I saw an OG copy of Tical for 40€ in Amsterdam, but it was closer to VG with a lot of surface scuffs. Maybe one day!

Before The Elton movie you could have picked up 10 albums for £25. I did. Now people want them. I’m going to make a Napalm Death movie. Get those purchases in now...
 
Any preference on a Public Enemy AOTM whenever one comes around. All good of course and a 2 LP 45RPM version of either Fear Of A Black Planet or It Takes A Nation would be perfect (and probably hit Essentials) but I would like a copy of There’s A Poison Goin’ On. That album never got the love it should have in my book
