Which is sad because the Ivy sole live is amazing. I liked the form but still prefer the live album over it. I also like the non-album tracks
 
Got my copy of McCoy Tyner's Sahara and love it. Great choice, great packaging, and I even enjoyed the liner notes.

The problem: there's a locked groove 2/3 of the way through side B. Anyone else experience this problem?

Already wrote to CS for a replacement; hoping it's just my copy and not a problem with the pressing.

Update: VMP already wrote me back and processed a replacement to be sent out ASAP. Fingers crossed it was just my one copy.

What's the deal with your orders that are not shipped but say "In Stock"? I mean, they will ship my De Stijl right? Right? AND when is that repress or more stock on When The Pawn gonna show up? :confused:

When did you order De Stijl? I think if you ordered after the first of June, it will be delayed until a second pressing is completed later in the summer. If you already were subscribed it should be coming soon. You could reach out to CS but remember they're probably slow to get everyone's boxes out due to COVID so it might just be a few more days.

I can’t imagine Vince Guaraldi selling out anytime soon to be honest. I think it will have to go on sale for it to sell out, just like with the last Vince Guaraldi Halloween release!

People have been saying Shabaka will be in swaps for the past few months and it never happens. No idea why they are being so stubborn about it unless they are actively taking a loss by putting it in swaps...
 
My VMP Holy Hive came in and she’s a beaut. Definitely one of the more well done clear variants I’ve come across and the music is gorgeous and relaxing. @MikeH have you picked a favorite off this record yet? “Be Thou By My Side” is the standout for me, that’s the last one on Side A! If VMP’s swaptions were this good every month we’d all be happy campers.image.jpg

Really hard to choose a favorite track on this one...it’s been getting a lot of spins since I got it. I like Broom a lot. Oh I Miss Her So is another favorite. There might be only one track I’m not a fan of on the album but it’s still not bad! Mine sounds pretty good too.
 
Blossom Dearie is set to arrive tomorrow, maybe I'll be lucky and everything will be in there? (Probably not but I just don't like the idea of having to wait for the main thing I subscribed for and getting the swap first on its own.)

So much easier for them. They just have to send out 1 email. Do you know how much more work it is to send out thousands of emails? Those digital stamps don’t lick themselves

It was an ROTM so I didn't "order" it I guess, so just waiting for it to be fulfilled due to the delay they already had! I reached out to CS and they, once again, don't really know what happened...our shipping "seems" to be shipping it separately.... The company CS is using terms like "seems to be" like they have no clue, perfect. I responded back again and said they better not be pushing me to a second pressing and simply not saying anything. Ugh, these guys - they are the terrible ex lover you can't resist. Keep going back and you know you will end up hating yourself later.
 
So I've just listened to my VMP Shabaka copy. I've got it for my International store credits swap plus $3.
While the album itself is great and the record generally sounds good, I have similiar issues as @Urbs_hott . During the last 25 seconds of my side A and C there is a strong surface noise that continues after the songs end. At the end of Side B and D this surface noise starts right after the tracks end. Also I've got 2 pops on Side B, Track 1, so have to ask VMP for a replacement /refund.
@Mather probably is right not to pick this up. I've unfortunately only learned about these issues a day after going for it. Now I wonder are there clean copies of this? What's the experience of others who have picked this up from VMP? Does it make sense to go through replacements?

I actually found mine to be ok. There’s only ever been 1 VMP release which I gave up on after a few replacements, which was the Joel Ross exclusive. That thing had awful issues
