Vinyl Me Please (store, exclusives, swaps, etc)

I’ll be honest with you I don’t agree $33 is a lot for the types of records they often press. Added to the fact that they’re often single LPs, I don’t agree with @Selaws and the other uk member, I rarely pay over €25 for a single LP, it’s usually a double before I’m hitting the €30ish that is $33. Added to the fact that the 47% rise is steep and $50-52 to sub, nah, there is little value for me.
It's not cheap but i gues you' d probably pay it for a decent spiritualized pressing. I'd probably take the sonny Rollins or some other classsics at that price. But i have canceled at the pre-hike prices because it was not worth it for me. I did bot find an album worth 36$ for me every month and the perk i enjoyed prior in my membership, access to store exclusives had lost its appeal. I regularly bough black or indie exclusives of the same records for significantly less locally. That was different before. So I can understand your point and agree to some extent.
PS: i don’t want getjnto the worth/ap/mofi discussion here. With worth to me I mean records i'd be willing to pay that much for. That's more focused on the music than the pressing quality or a judgement on the quality of VMP's pressings..

This is going to get reissued by Modern Harmonic right? The cover looks awesome! I’ll pick up the black standard assuming that’s coming at some point. “It’s a Motherfucker, don’t ya know, they talking bout Nuclear War”.
Black vinyl is available through BullMoose at least now I think. Someone else here was asking that too so if anybody remembers, please tag them! @jfitzy was it you?

I think it might different for Euro's & GBP, $33 at the moment is £25. The change in exchange rates has lessened the impact. Although the core subscription is not cheap at all, if I swap that for credits it is working out cheaper (in some cases) to buy some items from the store than it is to get them shipped from amazon.co.uk. Given that a lot of the US releases don't go for much less than £25 in England. That's when you can get them without paying shipping.

I know a lot of people slate the CS at VMP, but to be honest it's one of the reasons I stick with them, they will refund or replace if I have an issue, a lot of records I've bought from elsewhere have become very expensive as soon as I have had a problem.

I might keep it going for a while, if they stop allowing you to swap for credit I'll probably pack it in as the core sub is expensive.

Having said all of that that, you can get Blue Note 80's from Dodax for £15, well pressed, good quality records. There is no real reason for vinyl to be costing as much as does.

Yeah I’d happily pay $33/$36 or even the old $40 one month for spiritualized. It’s an big album with no definitive pressing and is a 2LP. I mean I wasn’t going the AP/MoFi route and I’ll leave it but to say that mastering/pressing quality has a monetary value and if you’re pricing equivalent to companies that offer both you can’t just rely on the music.

27/mo (paid for 3 upfront), until my term ends in 2 months

Oh damn. If Andy changes his mind for some crazy reason and you don't end up doing getting anything, I'd also be interested in this. Getting a $29 monthly subscription inflated by 50% isn't something that I can rationalize on principle, alone.
