Which did version did ya end up snagging?Yusef acquired! I’m stoked for this one, only heard Love Theme From Spartacus prior to the exclusive being announced but since then the album has been on repeat. Such a beautiful fucking record!
Went with the VMP for the sake of saving on shipping lol. Honestly though I’d probably prefer the Rough Trade variant. Not huge on any sort of clear vinyl variant. Who knows though, maybe it’ll look sweet.Which did version did ya end up snagging?
I was gonna say that this seemed like the kind of thing VMP would do an exclusive of considering the amount of music publications and labels talking about this, but i didnt post it cause i wasnt sure.
I'd recommend getting the deluxe edition direct from her store since it's only like $2 more and comes with way more stuff. Sheet music, zine, and a bonus 7" with demos.
Also the color is cooler.

Thanks, but i guess the limited lp on their site is probably the indie (bronze/black marble) version and not the deluxe from her siteThe Deluxe is also on Juno so I imagine the shipping to Deutschland will be much cheaper from them
You can't preorder but you can sign up for an email notification for when it is released.
I find these guys are much cheaper to ship to Canada as well so it is likely I will order from them as well
Ah, I didn’t know his account was private. His post was a picture of a few books about Stax Records & Otis Redding, a book about Sam & Dave and a book about Donald “Duck” Dunn with just the caption “research”.
Research for a future Classics or Essentials release maybe?

Who did Storf mention?

OMG, I’m so excited right now! I love the Classics track so much and I know the December Essentials ROTM will be a Soul/jazz record. I’m really keen![]()
I did enjoy the Willie Bobo but I definitely think it’s a bottom three Classics ROTM so far. I kind of actually agree that it’s not good enough in terms of the Classics ROTM standards. But I love the jazzy, funky grooves and the contemporary kind of sound of the album. I feel like it was ahead of its time. It’s a great album but still one of the worst Classics ROTM’s so farDid you like the Willie Bobo record Nathan? I wasn’t so keen, thought it was super cheesy and didn’t like all the covers of the pop songs of the day. It’s not bad but it’s not good enough either. Only the excruciating Byrd below it in classics for me.
Research for a future Classics or Essentials release maybe?

Crush on Me: BICONIC Edition
'Crush on Me: BICONIC Edition,' the debut LP from the DIY pop prince(ss) Sir Babygirl is here on tri-striped vinyl. Remastered & includes three bonus tracks, and available for the first time on vinyl.app.vinylmeplease.com
Variant looks neat, and it's only $20...
EDIT: This also looks to be the only release of this on vinyl...
For the first anthology AMA, Storf said that he was reading like 7 books for research on the next anthology.
I don’t like this Sir Babygirl album much though. It’s boring to my ears. The music sounds polished yet simultaneously all over the place. The vocals in my opinion sound thin and a bit whiny, especially when she sings in her higher register. The only moment I liked on that album was the stripped back, sweet “Flirting with Her (Reprise)”.![]()
