Vinyl Me Please (store, exclusives, swaps, etc)

For me there’s still stuff that I sort of want (or I have been staring at for months or years and am simply curious about).

Like sure it’d be fun to have the second Alan Jackson album they did, the Gus Cannon, or a fifth Dolly Parton album. But I’d probably only pay $10-15 for the privilege. Which means even with a 40% sale I’d probably still pass on most of it.

That’s my issue. I’m kinda curious about the Abdul Malik and Teo albums but not $45 plus shipping curious. If they were in a shop in the uk I’d walk straight past without an issue.

The only things I’m remotely interested in are the broadcasts… which I already have on CD anyway

That was one of the fun things about the club in the beginning, stuff was relatively cheap and would go on sale if it hung around. It allowed me to take more chances which in turn allowed them to be able to be more adventurous. Now, I have to know it’s a record I love, that is either impossible to get anywhere else or that the quality is so high that I am getting the best pressing available. If that criteria doesn’t apply, then I can find something more worthwhile to spend that money on.

At full price plus shipping, it’s got to be grail status and since they did the only real grail I had... and even if I did have any grails left… My Stakes is High ain’t a VMP pressing…

This was me when I kicked around that Creem deal to return to this shit show, but I was like I’m getting 3 albums I’d only pay 10-15 bucks for and then what would the other 6 be? And if ANOHNI is too big for VMP (no shade intended), what would I be getting with those other 6 records for around $200ish in expected value.
