They dont have much of a product left and simply had to keep sending a monthly fixed album to subscribers. I think they will downsize a bunch. Pressing 2k copies of 1-2 albums a month instead of 5-10k of 3-5 albums they did in the past is going to give them a longer runway IMO. It's going to be interesting to see how many people bail right now. They have already said that less people than anticipated have bailed so far, but I bet that number has ticked up after swaps opened up.

If I had a long-term sub, I'd definitely cancel and get my money back before it's too late. If I still wanted some of the upcoming releases, I'd sub with the deals on a short-term and roll it over each month for credit and use that to order what I wanted.

They have 17 records/sets delayed on their production chart that will take until Q3 (maybe Q4) to wrap up. They could release only 12 new albums this year and no exclusives and still be running behind.

Reminds me of the housing industry selling new unbuilt homes/lots while simultanously trying to deal with delayed or partially completed homes they sold previously.

They got a bunch and sold out of quote a few of them ( not knowing how many copies they had of them) . I bought barracuda from them in a sale and that is one of he ones gone now

Yea--housing and some delayed records are very similar situations!

Blue Note has started shipping. GD supposedly next month. I think they will change most of their model to be preorder/press to order moving forward.
