The lead single is so goooood. And I have never been able to get into this band. Probably gonna do Alex G and Whitney through rough trade so I can save on shipping. Comes out to about $24 per.

long term members have received the delay email

My friends Zaccariah Zevon and Aaron Aardvark joined last week and the day the first AOTM was released. Neither got the email that OutKast was delayed. There is no pattern to the delay I think.

But in all seriousness i’ve been a member for 3 years and no delay email for me. That was only for my Nat Turner. *

* I may yet receive a delay email.

yeah, who knows at the point

They really shoulda not explained the part where they said that it wasn’t “random” and really shoulda apologized for the fuck up.
It baffles me that they still don't value the loyal customer over the newcomer. That they think they can win over these newcomers for the long haul, completely ignoring that most will drop in for the shiny thing (in this example, OutKast) and then dip for good. It takes excessive amounts of hubris and naïveté to pull that off.

The amount of people that blindly accept VMP's recommendation for a luxury item is nothing short of an anomaly, and will not last. It seems that instead of interest organically swaying, VMP has decided they will have a hand in their own demise.

I don't know if many of you follow the beer scene, but many breweries are being gobbled up by larger corporations with promises of bigger and better everything. Millions, and in some cases, billions, are flashed in front of them to sell their souls, with growth of the business in exchange. Many of these places are finding that the customer, in many ways, is not interested in growth, but in wanting to feel like they're a part of something. Ballast Point is the latest entry in proof of this idea: https://www.goodbeerhunting.com/sig...tion-brands-continues-to-shrink-ballast-point

VMP may still be on the up of "succeeding". But with success, comes the loss of what they're blindly ignoring, the community.

what a crappy response to give to a customer and your response is 100% appropriate, the selection should have prioritized long term members. I get wanting to make new members happy but I do wonder what % of them planned on staying anyway. It is a lot easier to explain the situation to newbies than to members who have been around a while, "thanks for your loyalty we are going to recognize it by putting you at the end of the list to receive."
My TLC Bundle shipping date went from estimated August to "shipping estimation pending." I wonder what happened. Maybe the OutKast repress bumped that production?
don't trust that info at all
