Basic competency isn't a spell. It's a culture and a practice. Neither of which they seem capable of.

I think that there’s very little sympathy towards storf here. I don’t think he’s all bad but his attitude towards customers of his own company stinks and I always found his manner on the other place to be superior and touchy. His levels of snark and touchiness appear to have been dialled up some on reddit.

As for VMP, I don’t actually care one way or the other It’s just funny watching the problems of their own creation coming back to roost. We’ve been saying all this stuff about them for at least 12-18 months now, it’s nothing new and it keeps getting worse.

This exact thing was suggested to them many times over the years. They chose to ignore the advice.

If you lie (to yourself or otherwise) you have to keep perpetuating that lie, which takes a lot of effort.
Similarly if you keep putting band-aids on real issues, and acting like they are not issues or that the band-aids fixed the issues, you are going to have to keep putting more band-aids on. Those band-aids eventually fail.

Of course when you keep getting paid to be a failure at worst and mediocre at best then what motivation do you have to stop lieing and replace the band aids with real attempts to address issues?

I’m going to be honest I don’t know how you’re surprised enough to be overwhelmed. We’ve been complaining about these things since months, maybe even years, before the old forum shut down. This is nothing new, they have deep rooted systemic failings. This comes to a head every 3 or 4 months when it leads to an epic level of fuck up.
