Vinyl Me Please (store, exclusives, swaps, etc)

Sorry. After I saw the Forbes post I just had to post this from an interview I remembered. Another company getting “bigger” to serve us “better” as the saying goes.

From interview with VMP founders.

“... Vinyl Me, Please has always been about the music, the people who love it and it will always be about both of those things no matter how big we get. That’s a promise we’re excited to deliver on for years to come.”

idk if they'll be able to get me a replacement or not, given the nature of this release, but there's a serious issue w/ "Eye For An Eye"
I'm gonna record it cause it's almost comical.

Is this where your issue is, @Wes C. Attle

I cannot (ya I can) believe that there may be a pressing issue here. I cannot fathom how angry I will be if mine is like this. I'll go direct to refund, no replacement, and buy it on black.

It only got worse as the song went on...
It skipped once on an earlier song but when I reversed and tried going thru it again it didn't skip on the second time, so I assumed it was cool now.
Afraid to listen to the other sides now :(

the crackling might not be a Pressing issue but come from the sample. At least the Version on Spotify sounds Pretty similar in my ears.
it is also absent at 0:11 in your clip when the beat pauses for a Moment. or is there something else that i did not notoce?

There's some very noticeable skips all throughout it. Bars are getting cut off cause of it. Relistened to the digital just to make sure I'm not a psycho and there are not skips built into the digital.

The crackling I ain't even noticed cause the pressing sounds amazing. That is, at least, when its actually playing the music.

okay, that is definitely not in the Streaming version

Just listened to my copy of Infamous. No skips on Eye for an Eye. But there was some surface noise over the Nas/Raekwon verses and the end of the final song of the album.

Besides those parts the pressing sounded really, really good. That's coming from my untrained and unqualified ears.

My skips are most noticeable through “Survival of the Fittest,” but I played it again and there were no skips. And then I played it again and it skipped worse. What does this mean?!

I agree, the samples they used have some crackling that can sometimes sound like skipping, but this is a couple words missing each time it skips.

Omg, that skipping is bad.....🙅‍♂️

Sound quality wise, it sounds great! But that skipping just ruins it all 😢

That Ray Charles exclusive is an absolute must for me!!! One of the best VMP exclusives this year, including all the ROTM’s! Set my alarm to make sure I grab a copy of it, just in case it goes quick!

$30 for a true double album makes too much sense. Something’s wrong with it.
I’m so bad when it comes to sarcasm! 😅

Are you saying that you think VMP listed their Ray Charles exclusive as a 2LP, when in fact it’s probably only a single LP??? 🤔

Because for VMP to be selling a double album (2LP) at $30, seems too good to be true? 💡

i found a 2015 Version from Vinyl Passion in the netherlands for About 20$ new at Amazon over here. But discogs says there is also a 2019 Version by concord from the ray charles estate. ( going for 23$ on discogs)

;) Sorry yeah, this was a joke. I’m just surprised by the fairly reasonable price
