Vinyl Me Please (store, exclusives, swaps, etc)

Vinyl Passion is 100% a grey label and sources from CDs. Their pressings are garbage and not worth your money.
Also no money goes to the Ray Charles estate so if you care about supporting artists and their families, stay away.

This is 100% true. I bought a Vinyl Passion vinyl once back in my early days of collecting, before I knew what I was doing. The pressing was so bad, that it drove me to do research on how it could sound so bad. So I guess in a way I have to thank them.

Anyway, I highly doubt VMP would, or even legally could, use the Vinyl Passion master to press their albums.

My guess is this version:

Or perhaps based of this one (hopefully, because the laqcuers were cut at cohearant by Kevin Gray):

Man that second pressing would be sweet.
I shudder at it being Rainbo but that being said, I have had a few good pressings by them through VMP so it could be alright.
It's weird that they have two versions of this released by the same company so close together. You can never go wrong with a KG mastering!

So since I haven’t received a shipping notice on Mobb Deep I’m assuming mine is one of the records That got shipped elsewhere.

My question is if they are trying to avoid a repress, and not everyone returns every single Mobb Deep, what do they plan to do for the customers that won’t get their record? Because it would seem odd to reward those who return it and then give the odd ones out just a refund.

Just a hypothetical. Not “mad”.

So,
it Looks like vmp is offering the People who return their excess mobb Deep records a test Pressing of their choice, 35$ in store credit and a raffle ticket for every record returned in good condition.

They really are going to stick with that "we really are a small company" until the cows come home, aren't they? Just gonna use that excuse to deflect blame from themselves every chance they get. I'm surprised "we're working on it" wasn't included in that nonsense.

Don't piss on my leg and tell me it is raining, voldemort. 30,000 - 40,000 subscribers is not small. Heck, even 10,000 isn't small.

And lol @ the anorak as an enticement.

Also - that is A LOT of free stuff in that raffle. A LOT. Which means there are A LOT of people out there that got multiple Mos Defs. But guys, they're really trying!

Yeah, sounds like my extra Coltrane was from the same issue. I want to enter this raffle!!

Yeah I got my extra Coltrane also, I emailed into support so we'll see what they say. I'd be happy to send that shit back for a test pressing.....

Remember when they used to send random surprise records? I got once of those once. Back when they were a small business.

Looks like it's the second pressing as they label KG as the mastering engineer and it's pressed at Rainbo.
I bought both this and the John Moreland
