Vinyl Me Please (store, exclusives, swaps, etc)

i found a 2015 Version from Vinyl Passion in the netherlands for About 20$ new at Amazon over here. But discogs says there is also a 2019 Version by concord from the ray charles estate. ( going for 23$ on discogs)
But none of them are the 2LP, Vol. 1 & 2 edition!

Oh shit, my bad! I just went on Discogs and I can see that there are no ‘2LP’ pressings for this Ray Charles, as the ‘double album’ got released this year!

You sure both of these are 2LP’s though? 🤔

the concord press is probably what vmps variant is a version off. Strangely i found it only on discogs and no verion on Amazon.com.
The Vinyl Passion Version is from a dutch label, i don´t know the quality of and wether this is a Grey label.
That´s why i aksed in the first place because i wanted to know if there is anything comparable to vmps Version out there.

OK, I’m totally wrong with everything I said then 🤦‍♂️🙈

The Vol. 1 & 2 edition definitely didn’t get released this year if there were vinyl pressings released back in 2015! 😅

Mmmm good pick up! I’ll definitely be grabbing the VMP edition. The mock-up looks nice and I have a feeling the pressing will sound great!

It’s also cheaper for me. Of course, there’s a good chance one disc will at least be warped, but...🤷‍♂️

i´m considering the same, because i don´t know if i can trust the Vinyl Passion release . ( it has Bonus tracks which bnormally is not a good sign) and the vmp is probably cheaper for me than the black concord Pressing with vmps free shipping.

Mmmmm was actually thinking the same thing when I saw the ‘bonus tracks’ on the Vinyl Passion pressing! I’m not familiar at all with Vinyl Passion. So I’m definitely going with the VMP pressing. And yeah, the free shipping is what definitely makes the decision easy!

Sorry. After I saw the Forbes post I just had to post this from an interview I remembered. Another company getting “bigger” to serve us “better” as the saying goes.

From interview with VMP founders.

“... Vinyl Me, Please has always been about the music, the people who love it and it will always be about both of those things no matter how big we get. That’s a promise we’re excited to deliver on for years to come.”
To be fair, this quote doesn't talk about quality control, shipping times, customer satisfaction, community, exclusivity, or anything else that actually matters to us. They technically are highly focused and the number of people buying music from VMP. Probably hold up in court. 🙃🙃🙃

Besides, they can continue to ensure on "years to come" when people are waiting over 6 months for an exclusive, lol.

So,
it Looks like vmp is offering the People who return their excess mobb Deep records a test Pressing of their choice, 35$ in store credit and a raffle ticket for every record returned in good condition.

Holy shit......I have to give it to them....this is a stellar move. Obviously they have worked out they are saving money this way, but damn thats a lot of moneys worth of prizes, credit, and the test presses on top. I bet some of those TP's are worth a pretty penny. Why oh why didnt I order 10 copies of this album 🤣

Edit: No need for the outright 'It might not seem like it, but Vinyl Me, Please is a small business.' lie at the end though - How This CEO, 30, Grew His $10 Million Business In Five Years -- From Vinyl Records

I guess, the 25 Prices in the raffle suggest there should be some more People out there who received multiples.

Vinyl Passion is 100% a grey label and sources from CDs. Their pressings are garbage and not worth your money.
Also no money goes to the Ray Charles estate so if you care about supporting artists and their families, stay away.
