Vinyl Me Please (store, exclusives, swaps, etc)

Not much. Certainly not exclusives, or swaps. Everyone is just waiting on records and speculating how long VMP has left. It's been a real shit show.
This is the worst month I can remember in the past 4 years. If I don't get a shipping notice this week I'm ready to just email them to cancel all outstanding orders and refund my remaining months.

What is even going on in here anymore?

This sums it up:

I just filed disputes with my credit card company for all outstanding orders, since CS is unreachable/unresponsive and there is zero information forthcoming.

Weird I didn't get that delay email or an email about the Rising today.

Same. No email for me.

Good luck trying to cancel AND getting a refund.

People have reported issues with getting replies about cancellations and issues with actually receiving refunds after getting "confirmation" of a processing refund.

They probably owed me a good 4 or 5 grand. Whatevz. I guess I'm never gonna own a lifetime supply of blown glass wine decanters and hand tooled artisan hunting knife sheaths

Oh Mr big shot doesn't need anymore artisan hunting sheathes!?! Well what about the rest of us scraping by with our old scratched up decanters and fraying sheathes?

Wine doesn't decant itself!

:ROFLMAO:

And I'll extend that timeline - they've had issues since I was a member - perfume genius (was that 2014 or 15?). They handled the issues far differently and way better (swoosh, ben webster) but the issues have been around since the beginning.
What was the issue with Ben Webster? I bought a used copy from Discogs and it’s had the most horrific warp I’ve ever seen. Was that it?

That’s an ice cold take.
My man!
Though, every time I mention that in conversation I always get a "What about Pulp Fiction" or "Have you SEEN Inglorious Basterds?" type of response.

It is great. I need to revisit. This was the first QT movie I saw and was hooked thereafter.

LARRY, STOP POINTING THAT FUCKIN' GUN AT MY DAD!
SAAAAAAAAAME! Glimmer twins fo sho!

Chris Penn was definitely underrated IMO.

I’m getting less sure of this by the day. I find the need for non-traditional short term finance to press the records really worrying, especially considering the size of their customer base. Also the costs incurred with their shipping errors this month could sink even a well run, profitable business. I hope for those with money tied into them and also for the employees sake that I’m wrong.

Im way behind on pages here but wanted to say; I'm not sure the financing is a desperate move or a bad one. It frees up their capital and they use someone else's. The math shows they can cover the financing with their built in subscriber base. They need less than 10k paying subs to cover the loan sizes i saw on KickFurther. They arent risking anything.

I bought a used copy from Discogs and it had a used piece broken off the record... Happened post-shipping... USPS effed it up. Now I can't play the first track on either side... The rest of the record sounds spectacular.

VMP has sold out nearly half of their 36 ROTMs from 2019, they have had a number exclusives sell out rather quickly, all but the latest Anthology sets have sold out quickly too. I know there are a large vocal fraction of their customer base that are unhappy right now, but as soon as the next hyped exclusive comes along many of those same customers will be lining up to buy. They were in the same position last year of having orders delayed until after Christmas and CS backed up requiring other staff to help out with the queue.

They will be around until the "vinyl resurgence" starts to slow and fade.

Agreed, the reports of their death has been greatly exaggerated.
