Ah I never seen that bit. I only seen them initial statement someone posted up. But as I said earlier I am not on reddit at all. Guess it’s another reason why their policy should have been to talk to affected customers and not just go chatting on reddit to loads of folks.
Mine was as well....until it went to the wrong country. I imagine/hope some induvidual copies were sent out correctly and that its the bulk on the stock which were set out incorrectly......but who knows at this point. Maybe you will end up with a bunch yourself!Supposedly my copy of Our Mother the Mountain is in transit. Will be very curious to see what actually arrives when it gets delivered on Monday.
I saw this and said the same in my email to Pauly. Not sure why I have to wait 10 days if they have the stock available on their website. I wouldn't be surprised if they just keep allowing people to place an order to ensure sales, then when it comes to shipping the actual item just refunding if they are actually out of stock.I know stock numbers should be taken with a grain of salt but it still shows in stock?
I understand that its possible to ship to the incorrect address, but how on earth can they not know which address it went to? Surely there's a line of paperwork leading to the package? Madness.Wow so Pauly said my November records (which are all now sold out : I’m sorry for bringing this up I’ll be over it maybe shortly after I actually get a refund) shipped but they have no idea to where.
I haven’t seen any of my stuff in the reddit posts but it never occurred to me it could’ve gone overseas.
This could be one if the worse warehouse mistakes / “mistakes” of all time as far as getting it right to getting it way wrong.

Nailed it.This might be better received had this not been exactly what they've said for oh, the last 5 years.
FWIW my daughter gets a monthly makeup subscription from Alta. Guess where it comes from, that's right, Saddle Creek, exact same location as VMP. Never once had an issue, never not got it on time, never received multiples, never received anything we wasn't supposed to.
ITS NOT SADDLE CREEK!
Now the VMP Spin Machine has shifted the conversation to one where people are actually thanking a VMP employee and offering sympathy to a VMP employee because “it’s not their fault” and “oh you poor VMP employee, you don’t deserve this.”
You are being manipulated.
the amount of slack, second chances, "they'll be better next time", that people afford this company are INSANE
...It comes down to the fact that VMP does offer a product people like, a lot.
Honestly, this whole episode (if other labels are paying attention) should stir some competition in the near future. VMP gets the second chance because there's not that many places offering what they do. We can complain about some monthly choices, or the use of Gz, but the fact of the matter is that when VMP gets it right on the product end, they get it VERY right.
Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge is such a brillant short story.
Will they actually change their ways? Absolutely not! They’ll Ike Turner you again and then you’ll be angry at yourself for falling for the sweet talk. Don’t worry though, they’ll be back with roses, chocolates, and sweet talk again. They’ll tell you they’ve changed this time and it’s for real. They’re looking into why they keep treating you like a punching bag. Stay tuned!

Uhhhh maybe we shouldn't be comparing not getting records to domestic abuse...
I think what people are missing is that prior to the migration fiasco, some of us were fine with what VMP was deciding to do/their ways of conducting business. Was it perfect? No. But they had a product that was attractive and for a price that seemed in line with demand/willingness to pay.
So if they can fix distribution issues and show they have sustained a fix for that, I don't see what would keep someone who enjoyed the service in, say, September or October from re-joining
I would not have compared it to a relationship in which violence is occurring, but I think the sentiment of saying that an abusive relationship is occurring is accurate for many VMP customers.Uhhhh maybe we shouldn't be comparing not getting records to domestic abuse...

There are record collectors (and collectors of almost every other 'collectible' thing) who have an addiction to purchasing and an addiction to continuity. It's a form of obsessive-compulsive disorder. A record club actually depends on having a percentage of customers stay with them no matter how they behave. That's where the comparison to an (emotionally) abusive relationship is a valid one.
