Right! Fuck, I am sorry. I am not trying to be a shill. It is just after seeing SO MANY people on here begging for this record for a such along while I feel like now that itā€™s available people should take advantage, I understand and share in the vitriol directed at VMP but I donā€™t want my distain for them keep me (or anyone else) from missing out on a record that they really want.
 
I was one that on the old forum bugged the shit out of Storf to get info on a "When The Pawn" release, and I'm totally excited that it's finally out, but I think I'm going to wait it out.
I still have a chip on my shoulder with VMP, and while I could miss out, I think the way I'm reading it is there can be a chance this gets a larger non-exclusive release later down the line. I've waited this long - I can hold out, and I've got all her other albums already to keep me company on vinyl :)

I don't blame you. As it is, September at the earliest is the release date. Lots can happen between now and then.

Yeah I see your point.

Even if I had not decided to do business with VMP anymore, itā€™s a steep price in the current situation I am personally in (unemployed partner, contract work for me) and many others who arenā€™t working or are underemployed. I can not justify spending nearly $50 on a single record because it might go away.

I could go on and on about this and privilege but idk. Maybe we shouldnā€™t slam on the FOMO gas pedal for them.
 
After the mess last week I wrote VMP and asked to cancel my 3 month subscription, send me Stevie and asked for a refund for the remaining 2 months... And they said yes! The money I got back is nearly spent again now on a Non-Member When The Pawn plus International Shipping. Nevertheless, I'm satisfied. I'd rather spend the money on a record I really want like When The Pawn instead of getting a record (or being assorted a record) I don't really care for.

Also, I'm sure in the minority here, but I'm actually ok with the new Cover..? It would've been weird to come up with something entirely different, and I love that it's a massive record behind such an unassuming cover.

Exactly! This is the VMP exclusive of the year! It is overpriced but at the same time, itā€™s such good value for the amount of joy you will get out of spinning this classic! And most importantly, Iā€™m positive this remastered exclusive will sound spectacular, just like The Idler Wheel... VMP exclusive! šŸ’Ž

Oh totally understandable, I hope it becomes available at my local and and I can cancel my VMP order. The timing and pricing could not be worse for a lot of people. No one should put themselves in a bad place to purchase an LP and I hope it is still readily available so everyone who wants a copy can get one when things get better.
