You know the sell gatefold ones that you don’t have to assemble right?i might have a problem......i got some of the VSS sealable dual pocket with flaps....and used them to create some gatefold jackets for the impulse VMP box set.....hot damn they look nice....
yep! but i wanted to see what they were like for gatefolds and also test them out for single jacket LPs since i store the records behind the jackets anyway. You know the sell gatefold ones that you don’t have to assemble right?
if you have to inquire to ask a price, it's probably too much. This storage system is very very cool but I have no idea how much it is lol

I like a lot of the hip modern loft look, but when I see modular furniture it's hard to not believe in my gut that it should be cheap, and, if it isn't, that I'm getting ripped off.if you have to inquire to ask a price, it's probably too much.
everything related to audio is a total rip off. yet here we are lol.I guess this goes here, but I've been shopping around for a sturdier, buy it for life AV rack. 1a) why is a company called "Solidsteel" selling AV racks made of aluminum and MDF, 1b) why are they charging $1000+ for said racks?
Their speaker stands are gorgeous but the AV racks seem like a total rip off.
I've been trying to find one of the closeout BDI Elements (~$2000 vs $3500 MSRP) but seems like I missed my window. There's a Salamander set that a code at Music Direct works on which makes things somewhat more reasonable, but I don't love the look of it.everything related to audio is a total rip off. yet here we are lol.
salamanders are nice. VPI and others make cheaper racks than that i believe and look similar.
they are imported from Italy. and i wish ikea sold AV racks hah.I've been trying to find one of the closeout BDI Elements (~$2000 vs $3500 MSRP) but seems like I missed my window. It just blows my mind that Solidsteel is selling basicaly glorified IKEA furniture as an AV rack.
Well the only reason I'm even looking at fancy schamcny racks is because everyone around me is dying and leaving me money. Also because my IKEA cabinet sounds like it's going to crumble to ash every time I walk by it.they are imported from Italy. and i wish ikea sold AV racks hah.
the black ones with 5 racks seem to be $500ish but not sure which ones you want. their prices are all over the place depending on which layout.
i have the black salamander rack. it looks fine in my office but not the nicest. couldn't justify paying twice the price almost for the wood shelves. Figure i could always cut my own wood pieces if i wanted to go that route and use the salamander legs+hardware.
Cutting a bunch of scrap 1x2 for backstoppers and doing a small cull of my collection. Seems like a good use of a holiday Monday. But damn my knees are sore from kneeling on hardwood.
What currency is that in???If everyone on this forum gives me $5, I can buy this.
(I probably can't fit something like this in my apartment and should move but I WANT IT)
$5 TrumpBucksWhat currency is that in???
Maybe I'm not up on trendy furniture, but $3,100 for a shelf that looks like it was made out of reclaimed 90's department stores displays? And it would only hold 1/3 of my collection.$5 TrumpBucks
It’s a statement piece, display furniture as much as function. And this company/system has been around for a looooong time. It’s all steel.Maybe I'm not up on trendy furniture, but $3,100 for a shelf that looks like it was made out of reclaimed 90's department stores displays? And it would only hold 1/3 of my collection.
i love the look of the USM stuff. wouldn't necessarily fit in my house but i want it to hah. symbol audio is right over the river from me so i need to make friends with them. all their furniture is so cool but i can't afford any of it.It’s a statement piece, display furniture as much as function. EDIT: To add, it's all modular so it can grow with my collection. The stated capacity of 390 records would fit my entire collection, so not all of us can be blessed with 1000+ records, lol.
