I really should investigate reissues before buying them. I was worried when I saw Friday Music. Rightfully so. Joe Reagoso at Friday Music consistently puts out shitty sounding records. This is no different. RTI did a great job. I’ll keep my eyes peeled for a a mint original.

Ebo Taylor Jr with Wuta Wazutu - Gotta Take It Cool
Such a beautiful album from John Martyn with its poignant tribute to Nick Drake (but need to upgrade this copy as it has far too many pops), and a fabulous recent reissue from Ghana that shows Ebo Taylor's son is almost as gifted as his Dad.

My favourite Gorillaz album, and a fabulous compilation of mostly early highlife music from Nigeria and Ghana. I think I probably prefer highlife to Afrobeat for its pure joy.
