I knew this would be one of the bigger risks out of the Tone Poet reissues for me. Not my bag at all really.

I should have mine by Friday, hmm. Looking forward to the J Henderson one though. It's taking forever to get my hands on these despite not being Ltd.

Im being a bit unfair really and side 2 is shaping up better than side 1 (although I have had a few loud pops on the start of this side). The soloing is fab, especially Cannonball but the big band stuff just doesn’t appeal to me. Joe’s going on next though.

Straight on with this fresh grab. Jazz doesn't get much better than this. Charlie Parker, Dizzy Gillespie, Bud Powell, Max Roach, Charles Mingus - how amazing must it have been to see this gig. It's an OJC press that sounds very nice.
