Not sure who recommended this deluxe version, but it rocks

I remember the very first time I heard Yellow. I had been in NYC to see U2 on the roof of MTV studios and was driving home. K-Rock (92.3FM at the time) played the song, but did not name the artist or title. I loved it immediately, but back in 2000, it was difficult to identify a track. About two weeks later, M2 (remember when MTV2 played great music?) played the video and I screamed, "OMG! It's the song!!" I went to Best Buy that day to buy the cd.Coldplay - Parachutes
View attachment 93035Love this album (and pressing!) so much. I’m still holding out hope that Barnes & Nobles continues pressing their catalogue on colored vinyl (kinda weird to do the first two then stop)
Back in 2001 I bought tickets for myself and a few friends to see Coldplay at a smallish theater in SF right when Yellow hit big - it was the first of two nights. A week or so before the shows Chris Martin has throat issues so they had to cancel some shows, of course they cancelled our show and not the night after. Fast forward to right before Rush of Blood comes out and they play an even smaller venue in SF (Bimbo’s 365 Club) and this time I go solo as no one wanted to go with me. It’s still one of the best shows I’ve ever been to, Chris literally had to jump off stage and then back up to a side stage to get to a piano. That’s still one of my all time favorite gigs - check out this set list:I remember the very first time I heard Yellow. I had been in NYC to see U2 on the roof of MTV studios and was driving home. We were very fortunate to see Coldplay many times in the early days, in small venues. The X&Y tour was my kids first ever concert. I lost interest after that but the first two albums are brilliant.
Those early show set lists were amazing. Shiver was always one of my fave tracks.Back in 2001 I bought tickets for myself and a few friends to see Coldplay at a smallish theater in SF right when Yellow hit big - it was the first of two nights.
