Unless I missed it; I'm curious as to what order your collection playthrough is in. Genre, singer/songwriters? Or just pure chaos order.

In order added to Discogs - oldest first. Hence they heavy reliance on garage sale / thrift shop finds at the beginning. Nothing wrong with that, but there is a lot of chaff with the wheat too. That seemed the right way to do it for me, since I'm hitting close to 750 records, hopefully allow me to winnow it down or at least give some love to those that haven't gotten any play.Unless I missed it; I'm curious as to what order your collection playthrough is in. I think doing it by release year might have be a good approach too, maybe next time for me. That would be a good way to appreciate the context of releases against one another and how they might have informed each other.Next time I do a playthrough I'm gonna do it by catalogue number!

Ha, I was wondering about the same thing! I think for convenience it would make sense to use the Discogs year, but my preference would be to use the actual release year since I only have a few dupes in the original release / reissue release scenario.Oh I like it!
Would include reissues in the original release year, rather than reissue release year?
This is very tempting to me. I always enjoy doing historical trajectories and I think this would keep my interest. Going to plan this for the new year.I think doing it by release year might have be a good approach too, maybe next time for me.
