Record #4 After Argument ~ 这不是你的游戏 (This is not your game)
The follow up album to 'the Furs of time' has this duo once again pushing the limits of what can be done with just two people, creating a Post-Punk environment with heavy doses into experimental and avant garde. The lyrics are complicated but once again speak to the angst of the youth, in the words of my GF, "why does he have to complain so much", is a common theme throughout the album. A bit repetitive in riffs but daring to explore when necessary. It's hard living up to a critically acclaimed album debut, and 'This is not your game' tries hard to match the same energy but falls a little flat as some of the riffs are not as aggressive as their debut, which for some may be a nice change of pace. Overall fans of Yang Haisong will get what they crave for and should enjoy this record. 7.5/10
