YEAR END MEGALIST 2024!!!!

IT'S THAT TIME OF THE YEAR AGAIN TO GET TOGETHER ALL OF OUR YEAR END LISTS AND MAKE A COLLECTIVE FORUM YEAR END MEGALIST!!!! @Woob_woob has not responded to my inquiry from a few days ago and has not been active since August, so I will continue to manage this year end tradition until he requests it back.
I'm sure most of you know how this goes.

Rules

1) Everyone has 100 points to distribute to their favorite albums of 2024.
a) The most points you can give to a single album is 20 points.
b) You must use all 100 points. No exceptions.
c) Points must be distributed as positive integers (no individual scores like 0.75, 12.5, 19.25, 19.99, etc).
d) Please organize the distribution in a list-like fashion.
2) No compilations/greatest hits/best of/etc.
3) Only releases in the year of 2024 are permitted. Any and all December 2023 releases and prior will not be considered.
a) Rerecordings of studio albums are acceptable.
4) Live albums are permitted, so long as the official release date across both streaming and physical was within this year.

Deadline to submit a list with points distribution is Tuesday, December 31, 2024 at 11:59 PM (PST). This will not be extended, unlike prior years.

Please tag me in your thread post that includes your point distribution so that it may be easier for me to find. Post charts made from Topsters3 if you would like to! I will react with a "🎵" to indicate that I have read your point distribution and added it to my spreadsheet. Feel free to edit your list as often as needed up to the deadline; I will be combing this thread frequently while looking for "Edited" posts in the bottom-right corner and rereact with a "🎵" to indicate having accounted for your edit.
Also, feel free to share your favorite songs/concerts/music videos/etc... of 2024.

Have fun, and looking forward to seeing your lists and music happenings from this year!

Status: Up to date to post #86

I think it’s important to remember that all of this is purely subjective. I like Brat - it’s not even my pop album of the year, but then I’m a different listener than even most of the folks here. My AOTY is probably gonna be Woodland, Y’Y, or Malegría. I don’t think there will be (m)any lists where those are the top three choices but probably a few that has one or two of them in the top three, maybe even top spot here and there.

well...I guess I'll kick this off:

24 Albums for 2024:
1. Beth Gibbons - Lives Outgrown - (20)
2. Kendrick Lamar - GNX - (20)
3. Nils Frahm - Paris (Live) - (10)
4. Hania Rani - Nostalgia (Live) - (10)
5. Parra for Cuva - Mimose - (3)
6. Kiasmos - II - (3)
7. Fontaines D.C. - Romance - (3)
8. NewDad - MADRA - (3)
9. Elbow - Audio Vertigo - (3)
10. Big Special - Postindustrial Homesick Blues - (3)
11. Bess Atwell - Light Sleeper - (3)
12. Nilüfer Yanya - My Method Actor - (3)
13. Johnny Blue Skies - Passage Du Desir - (3)
14. Yard Act - Where's My Utopia? - (3)
15. Arooj Aftab - Night Reign - (1)
16. Tindersticks - Soft Tissue -(1)
17. Goat - Goat - (1)
18. Clairo - Charm - (1)
19. Billie Eilish - Hit Me Hard and Soft - (1)
20. Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds - Wild God - (1)
21. Khruangbin - A LA SALA - (1)
22. BadBadNotGood - Mid Spiral - (1)
23. Four Tet - Three - (1)
24. Nala Sinephro - Endlessness - (1)

a very top-heavy year for me...that Beth Gibbons albums stayed with my soul all year...GNX might prove mid-to-low canon for KDot, but it was the needed bow on the fun summer feud. I usually avoid live albums on these lists, but aside from crowd noise the Nils and Hania albums feel more like studio albums (I'm obsessed with the re-worked Right, Right, Right still...it's on as I type this)

all the 3-pointers I think will continue in rotation for years, while the 1 point albums probably fade outside of a few songs on playlists, et al.

2,4, and 8 should all make the list. I really like that Last Dinner Party record and I know a few of the Pop Tarts liked it too.

My obsessive-compulsive ADHD brain compels me to let you know that you have two number 5s on your list. Unless that was intentional in which case feel free to ignore me entirely 🤪
