All band name jokes aside, AC Newman can’t be taking this news well. I remember back during Trump’s first run when republican’s were trying to ban porn and all mentions of it, he came out and said how difficult it was for his band to be taken seriously as art because of the name.

Well, now the band is forever tarnished because of this, I fear. Real ones will know, but I’ve got friends texting me not in the know talking about how it didn’t surprise them (because the band name)

yeah.... they might have to do a name change for their next album (if/when they put out a new one)
 
Yeah. Honestly, if I was in that band, I’d change it to something like the New We Can Not Make It Any More Abundantly Clear We Do Not Support or Condone That Dude or His Crimes in Anyway and We Find It Absolutely Vile and Horrific-ers. That is an insane position to be in, aligned creatively with someone who has done something that awful.

I guess this isn't really "new" knowledge, but it's new to me and will definitely taint further viewings of Mad Men - but to be honest Jon Hamm being a psychopath frat boy isn't that surprising.

Yeah, it definitely seems like that moment in time defined this poor guy’s life. But like you said, this has been floating around and details published for a decade+, so I don’t quite understand publications need to have this recirculate yearly. Is it just for public awareness, to cancel careers, give the victims a voice? All?

Jared Leto is having another allegation-fest as well, but his continued getting work definitely puzzles me.

This has been known about 10+ yrs. Pretty bad, but he admitted to it and completed his probation, for what that's worth.

It's back in the news because TDM called him on his personal line to ask him about it, he (understandably) told them to fuck off, and they saw that fit to publish. They're an exploitation rag.
