CHRISTMAS!!!!

My wife has joked that this is the Christmas of Bubbles. If Bubbles was consolidated, he would move up to #2, and Christmas with the Academy by The Academy of St Martin in the Fields would move into number 9. Have I mentioned recently that I dove in hard on Pink Floyd this year?

A Fresh Aire Christmas and Crescent City Christmas Card are all time favorite Christmas albums by the way.

Breakdown
Not much new; just revisiting favorites from this year while at work. Putting on a Spotify-curated R&B playlist, I was able to touch back on Yaya Bey, Ravyn Lenae, Erika de Casier, Ari Lennox, and even Raveena. New one from Little Simz is fantastic, though not quite as surefire future classic as Sometimes I Might be Introvert is. Some of the new SZA album found its way into the aforementioned playlist, and I found it to be easier to digest when listened in that format splashed in with other artists.
Oh, and the Julia Romana record has clicked with me. Very good quality art pop, and perhaps even some R&B elements.

It's Christmas All Over Again!

@AndySlash reminded me of an old favorite that got a lot of listens this week. Kelly Finnegan enters the chat. As does @Yer Ol' Uncle D's November ROTM. Not even a live dump of Pink Floyd could get them to overcome the Christmas spirit this week. Brandi Carlile did just miss out at #10 with In These Silent Days/In the Canyon Haze... which was an emotional support listen after a bad night the other week. What else are you gonna do when you give up Bourbon?

"SOCKS" is a blast.

Not much streaming this week as I've been off and playing video games, and catching up on shows. So here's 2022 in all its splendor. Lots of new and old favorites this year. I probably explored new music less this year than in years past but did find a lot to love when I did venture away from old standbys. Hope everyone has a safe and happy new year! ❤️
