Some sleep music. A lot of time with records from the 1001 generator. @Ghost reminded me of the greatness of Nick Hakim (and I agree Nau and Hakim are much from the same cloth no matter outward appearances). The Hirsh/Spalding still plays as very self indulgent but is a good listen. The Wormrot comes vía ol’ melon.
How are you enjoying Heligoland? Have you spent time with it prior?my week:

@Ghost is responsible for the number 1. 1001 album generator is responsible for #2, 3 (this was the week for this in the other recordings to listen to book I am reading... stupid fucker is awesome and I hate him and I hate myself for liking it and FUCK YOU. are you off my lawn yet? good. we can continue), 7 and 9. Rozi, Margo and Whitehorse are the highlights of new music for the week. Margo is a strong contender for my favorite record of the quarter (too early for year).
I really like it. It’s gotten at least one listen a day. I think it is their most cinematic album. How are you enjoying Heligoland? Have you spent time with it prior?
Hybrid Theory is not one I am looking forward to.View attachment 164882
Maybe I needed to hear Hybrid Theory before I died but I don’t think I needed to hear it after I hit twenty. It has a higher average rating than Black Monk Time, which is beyond me. The new Mac is relaxing, even if it sounds like it’s coming out of a Sim’s boom box.
