Well I see that QC hasn't stabilized even years removed from the pandemic. I have bought 4 records in 2025 after pausing for all of 2024. 3/4 of them have been some form of warped or dished.

To those of you who suggested heavy duty Uhaul boxes for the move, are they stackable? My new storage shelves have had their shipment delayed due to the holidays and so I'm gonna have boxes upon boxes in my new 1200 sq foot condo (and am adding a roommate to make buying work, so I can't just throw them into the spare bedroom).

Moving after buying a condo. Have been using a 2 by 4 Kallax that is gonna be a little too big (horizontally speaking) for my new spot. I believe the Kallax are 58 inches long. I need something closer to 50 inches long and then 3 or four shelves high. I know that means I'm gonna have to drop some $$$. But if it allows me to have a permanent record solution and I can keep it under 2k... Suggestions?

Saturday was a mess of cancelations, rain delays, sound issues and performers who got really drunk while waiting the the weather out, but Pitchfork was still a great time. Favorite sets were Mdou Motor, The Smile, Perfume Genius and Killer Mike. Big Thief, Axel Boman, Charolete Haggerty and Jockstrap were also rock solid. See you next year @ayayrawn & @siremobunny

Facebook just reminded me that this is the 10 year mark of my first record purchase. Little did I know that they would be the main feature of my apartment in 2023. Few regrets about the hobby. But damn do I wish the fucking bubble would burst so I afford to replace some of the records that have worn down over the past decade.
