We share... 0 albums.

Also, Tyler, The Creator did just drop an album earlier this week 👀 But, yeah, the hip-hop genre was severely lacking overall this year compared to the rest of the decade.

Never been a Tyler fan, haven’t went out of my way to check it out. I probably should give him another chance. I thought he was the most uninteresting part of OFWGKTA. Tried both Bastard and Goblin but they did nothing for me.

I'd say you picked the wrong Tyler albums to try.. Anything 2017 and on I would recommend (Flower Boy, Igor, Call Me, and Chromakopia).

See, I’m old and those (along with the Odd Future stuff) were the only albums he had released at the time he initially caught my attention. Then I after I gave up on him he became super popular with the Urban Outfitters set which turned me off further.

Maybe I will check the new one out and see how that strikes me. If I dig it I am sure I will further explore his back catalog l.

I put Tyler in the “respect more than I enjoy” category. His artistic ambition since 2017 has been so exciting to watch play out but the only album I enjoy by him is IGOR which is just ok to me
I’m remember when OFWGKTA played Pitchfork just when their reputation was beginning to grow and remembered being genuinely excited to see what would happen on stage. It ended up being a fairly standard hip-hop performance but the buzz leading up to it was fun.

Crutchfield would have been my guess. I haven’t spent enough time with Lenderman and I still need to check out Merce Lemon.

I asked my daughter for things to consider in the shoot out and she told me… Billie Eilish, Kehlani, Charlie XCX, Remi Wolf & Glass Animals.

Check out that Rosali too. It shares the same space as Merce Lemon and Waxahatchee and is probably my favorite of the 3 (but it’s close).
