Definitive Audiophile pressings

Like, I haven't heard anything as bad as the AP A Love Supreme where it detracts from listening until you get used to it. This did not bother me in the slightest.
thanks! my buddy was asking because he HATES hard-panned stereo jazz records (like the ALS reissue). I didn't end up ordering the stereo on this one since I'm happy with my stereo pressing.

The Kevin Gray pressing of Laughing Stock is pretty good but my copy has some serious distortion on After the Flood. Actually sounds like the music is playing underwater and fits the song really well! At any rate, Intervention doing Talk Talk’s back catalog would be a dream.

didn't know KG cut a version? happen to have a discogs link?

edit: nevermind found it. and @JonnyH stop laughing lol

Ugh - please don't ... I just spent the last six months picking up nice pressings of the full Hollis/TT catalog ... OK, IR can do it but please don't tell me about it. For a couple of months. How about Christmas?
I have an OG of Colours of Spring, a crappy Ba Da Bing of Laughing Stock and a Parlaphone reissue of Spirit of Eden that has non-fill issues. Because of the quiet nature of the records, if the pressing is not perfect you hear all the imperfections.

What'd you get for the Hollis solo album? I'd like to look out for one of those at a decent price.

I rolled the dice with this pressing. As you can tell, quality can be all over the place (EIGHTY COMMEMTS!?!). But when you hit on a good copy it's ... 👌🏻

I got lucky with mine.

mikefromtheingroovephoenixarizona bought one of those Interscope 30 reissues that were $2,800 and unboxed it on his youtube channel. pretty funny to watch him slowly die inside as he realizes that the lana del ray record he paid $2,800 was pressed at GZ and has a scratch on it ...
