Definitive Audiophile pressings

I have the US release from 2017 which looks to be a different cut unless Discogs is wrong. Iggy Pop - Lust For Life

Supposedly an AAA cut but I don’t remember that being touted anywhere. Not sure how to confirm that one either unless Ian Sefchick said so. There’s no updated liner credits. I will say, it actually sounds quite good though I couldn’t blast it like I would like to since the baby is sleeping. My copy is clean too. Think I got it for under $20 off Amazon when it was released.
Interesting price history there

Maybe next Amoeba sale for 15% off see if it's still in stock there

Has anyone compared OG US Stones mono albums to the mono box vinyl?

Thanks. Anyone in the forum do an actual comparison?

Man looking at the crazy prices now I sure am glad I already bought all the albums I'll ever want or need.

Yessir. Got ALLLLL the records I could ever want already... nooooothing else I could possibly ever want to buy...

Nope. None.

-cold sweat-

I have a handful of US monos (1st album, Now, Aftermath, BtB) and the UK counterparts of those albums from the mono box. Without a doubt, the US pressings are more compressed and don’t sound nearly as good. Plus they’re noisy. So not a super great comparison, but comparing the shared tracks from the US and UK albums, the new mono box pressings win easily. I will say, the US pressing I have or BtB is quite good and cut super hot. So it’s fun to crank that one but again, compressed sounding compared to the box. If you’re a big fan and can stomach the price, the mono box is definitely the way to go to get the best sounding pressings of the albums.

Total brain lapse.
Forgot you just stated earlier that you bought up some 2016 box part outs.

damn In a Silent Way is OOS. I was hoping to see what else came back in stock and then combining a few of those to make the international shipping efficient.

In A Silent Way was the one I wanted most. Do we think it's gone for good now? Pain.
I combined mine with a $15 copy of the newest Spiritualized album to qualify for free shipping.
