Dark Side has been a pretty constant record since I was a kid. Animals and Momentary Lapse have been getting a lot of spins since the remixes came out. I feel like Led Zeppelin I-IV and Houses of the Holy are pretty perennial for me. More likely to listen to LZ than the White Stripes.

I mean it was my older brother that I didn’t have that grew up on Boston…. My dad would have come up on Doors… except he didn’t really care about music. My dad had beach boys greatest hits, Genesis’s Invisible Touch, and Bangles’ Different Light. And a bunch of fucking Jerry Clower cassettes. By the time he got to CDs it was all Gathers Family all time time.

I appreciate them all now, especially Boston but as a 13 or 14 year old just discovering classic rock for the first time the late 60s were a lot bigger deal than the late 70s.
