Definitive Audiophile pressings

I'm sure you're right. Where has it come from that they are hi-res transfers?
So when they were advertised the AAA was advertised as being part of deluxe but was omitted from the info for the standard. I was trying too look at the hype sticker on standard 2021 edition on Discog but the image resolution is poor so I can’t make it out and there isn’t any images of a hype with the 2021 deluxe to compare with.

In the video dude appeared to be reading the AAA cut off the hype sticker on both versions of M B V. So I would think if the Standard Loveless was AAA it would say so on the hype sticker. Definitely not certain just trying to sleuth it out.

I took a screen shot of one of the deluxe hype stickers off of someone’s eBay sale post of the deluxe version…

…and it looks like the “fully analog cut” line is missing from the standard version.

This doesn’t necessarily mean that they aren’t both AAA but it obviously raises questions on whether the standard version is AAA.

The post here says that all the standard versions are digital, but I'm not sure I always believe what this guy says. Some of the comments are interesting. Someone says they have 4 copies of Loveless with 4 different masters, not sure whether I believe it but it would be good if someone in the know would tell us the full story. It is bound to be a really interesting one.

Hopefully someone will post the deadwax if they get the new one and we will know more.

that confirms it. I still don't get it. Last night I was annoyed (I won't look at my bank balance this month), but I'm almost intrigued now to see if there are any differences in the mix between the two.

Like the guy in the video said it seems wild to do them differently but it also seems insane not to say they are both AAA.

I actually bought both the deluxe and standard Loveless since I'm a crazy person and thought it would be fun to A/B them. I also want to see if my ears can actually tell the difference between AAA and hi res. I don't have either yet and probably will take some time coming over from across the pond.

Just want to say I appreciate crazy people like you. Looking forward to your thoughts.

I panicked when I found out my pre-orders had been cancelled. I'm not sure how many copies I'm getting now, my bank manager might say it's too many  (probably a standard and a deluxe). It will be interesting to compare.

The BST One Step is awesome. Best One-Step i've heard to date and probably the best sounding record in my collection now. No hyperbole.
Interesting! I would have picked it up if I liked the album more but hard pill to swallow for the price...I think Dylan or Mingus are the two best One Steps so far that I have.

Yeah Blood on the Tracks is exceptional. Others may be slightly better but that’s kinda pointless if I don’t like the music on them or don’t like it enough to warrant that outlay. I think the only one I half regret not getting as my second was What’s Going On? But then equally I can rationalise not getting it. I’m trying not be quite so harshly critical of stuff others may like, less so mofi’s exceptionally narrow curatorial focus, but I think the group can tell where I fall with this one.

According to someone on Discogs, this is the explanation Speakers Corner gave for the reversed labels on The Shape Of Jazz To Come:
"A little explanation as to how the mix-up could have happened. In our more than 25-year history it is the first time that the lower tape number (ST-A-59175) is the second side and the higher one (ST-A-59176) the first side of the LP."
