Definitive Audiophile pressings

It looks like they ship Fed Ex. Did you have to pay "brokerage fees" and all that garbage? Or are they just using Fed Ex for Canada and NA...

Erm so they declared each record at 100 yen so even for all 6 the amount was below the €22 threshold for VAT and €150ish one for customs. So no fees so no brokerage. But yes fedex so if properly declared or opened to check all those fees would apply.

Just in time to beat Discogs adding VAT

edit - I might get some orders in tonight, any recommended sellers in Japan?
Ella Records are great. So are recordshopshibuya, this one is the Discogs account of HMV Shibuya shop.

Those are probably not as hard to find as Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere. They all get repressed eventually but that one has been harder to get. Harvest, After the Gold Rush are good starters along with EKTINW (if you can find it, though vintage early 70s copies are easy to come by and sound great). Highly recommend On The Beach and Tonight's the Night after those.

Update: I have Harvest, Rust Never Sleeps, After The Gold Rush and On The Beach, all coming
Have not decided on a 70's press or wait for repress of EKTIN yet. Thanks for helping me build my Neil.

Oh I 100% agree with you on getting a replacement especially if yours is that bad. I think AS’s customer service is pretty top notch so wouldn’t be TOO worried about not getting another copy. It is a difficult predicament though for sure.

I lucked out in my copy it seems. I noticed on mine there was a lot of static but once I hit it with a zero stat the noise disappeared. Hoping it works out for ya! I agree that for $100 and being advertised as really quiet that it shouldn’t have the issues you’re having.
It's the vinyl formulation. It is known to be prone to static. Just use a good anti-stat brush (the new Audioquest is good, but so it to older cheap one).

I've picked up those first four this year as well and am also waiting for a repress of Everybody Knows. I'd also highly recommend last year's Homegrown, which was an unreleased/shelved album from the mid-'70s and is fantastic. Should be a readily available pressing, as well.

All this NY love coming from @JohnnyCashFan @BjorgenFjorgen and @TenderLovingKiller® warms the heart of this old man so much I could take off my cardigan sweater and still be comfortable with just the second cardigan sweater I wear underneath.

@Mather @Mather @Mather...............tsk-tsk-tsk. You are in danger of losing your Canadian funded healthcare and legal weed if this heinous information was to fall into the wrong hands.

Leather & Lasers cannot save you.

I have The Last Waltz, does that count?
