Jazzmessengers really are fantastic, I have picked up a few Resonance releases from them in recent years. I ordered the Mingus from them too.

I just saw that they also had the Ayler set for €125 which is the cheapest I’ve seen it by far, but it’s sold out. Might be for the best though because Iwas in 2 minds about that set. I like Aylers music but I really have to be concentrating to appreciate it and I cant quite work out if listening to the full set would be too much for me. I have In Greenwich Village, My Name Is Albert Ayler, Something Different!, New Grass, etc which I do enjoy but I definitely have to be in the right mood.

Thanks. I have the purple Newbury comics version already. Trying to see how much of a difference there is and if it’s worth spending on the new one. Struggling to pull the trigger on the UHQR.

This reminds me of an interaction over the weekend.

I was listening to the Bill Evans RSD release yesterday and was flicking through the booklet. My fiancee asked what I was looking at and I excitedly told her it was a great booklet that came with the record, full of interviews, stories and cool never-before-seen photos. I showed her the front as I said the last bit and she just obliterated my enthusiasm by saying he looks like the kind of uncle your parents would tell you to stay clear of at family gatherings....

I bought this a few months ago and showed it to my wife. She said she didn’t know Ruth Bader Ginsburg made an album
