Definitive Audiophile pressings

Is that restriction specific to Canada? I order things in the UK and have delivered to a friend there all the time, and he does the same with me, and it has never been a problem.
Honestly maybe not, but I know in the past I've been told that sending to an address other than my own can get flagged. But either way, it would make any issues or returns very difficult. And I gots a lot of issues...

I appreciate that. I mean maybe, but I don't think I could send to a different address than my credit card. People would have to buy for us and then how do you return if there's any issues... It's probably more trouble than it's worth.
That’s what I do. I have the Prestige records shipped to a friend in the US. There’s a risk, sure, in terms of pressing issues but since I’m international I would be taking a risk anyway since I have to place an order before they can send a replacement, should there be one. So might as well have a bunch of them sent to me through USPS with a lower value and hope the number of issues is minimal.

That's really shitty. I actually have a few Lawrie Dunster cuts, pretty much the Dublin Vinyl pressings I have. All are actually really well done. Dublin Vinyl is an excellent plant too. Definitely better than GZ by a mile. But Lawrie Dunster is not Kevin Gray and the Kevin Gray remaster of this is sublime. It would have been an impossible feat for him to even match that. What an awful position to put the guy in.
This is not good news! I’ll cancel my pre order today until I can be sure I’m getting the decent US mastering.

Pretty rubbish situ to put Lawrie in. He’s a good mastering engineer but regardless of skill differences, if any, he’s never going to match an AAA cut with one made from digital transfers. The KPG pressed nicely by Dublin Vinyl rather than a precision press would have been really nice too.

It should be OK, thinking about it. I got records delivered in the US for the Secret Santa.

I was just looking at the cost of getting some albums shipped form Acoustic Sounds, it's just too much for me to be interested now.

My copy is arriving in a few hours:coffee:🤓😎
Damn that's hella quick!

My copy shipped on the 30th and I just noticed that they used a "2 Day Delivery" option which sounds crazy for international shipping, but even still I imagine it will turn up in the next few days!

Have to hand it to them, I'm glad its not a case of ordering then getting it a few months later (im looking at you KOB UHQR!!)

On Shopify the shipping method shows as "DHL economy international (4+weeks)". It's currently in Illinois, I expect it will sit there for a few weeks.

Slightly less water between IL and AL 🙂

Packaging is legit from Craft. Everyone should get a pristine product it seems.

Edit: I used USPS for the record

Oh yeah how weird. When you drop it into Parcelapp to get the additional info it comes up with "DHL Packet Plus International - Two Day Delivery". Maybe that is just to get it to Melrose Park before the overseas portion then.

I do remember getting the other 2 incredibly quickly, although 1 of those was from the UK distributors.

Either way, I can be patient on this one although im really looking forward to it!

I did DHL by accident (was in a rush to buy it and that was the automatically applied shipping at checkout). Mine shipped out a day or two ago and will be here on May 9 supposedly.
