I would be curious, since the half steps are all over the map.More the ones by The Who, just beginning to think about starting into their stuff now.

Dire Straits - Brothers in Arms
The sense of realism this edition delivers will leave slack-jawed even the most hard-to-please audiophiles. As the recipient of the Grammy for Best-Engineered Recording, the album has always been a go-to sonic standard, but never has it sounded so reach-out-and-touch-it realistic as it does on...mofi.com
Yeah AP could be nice but unlike a lot of abbey road these seem to have been mastered from tapes so I’m hopeful! Also AP is just such a pain to get hold of over here and I don’t like Chad and the way AS seem to operate.
I will do. I had been hunting for Japanese pressings but there doesn’t seem to be much about so that put me onto these. If I get around to getting any I will of course let you know!
Was that the copy from discogs? I had it in my cart for about a month and was mad but also glad someone finally grabbed it so I could save the moneyJust got this!

Speaking of Kevin Gray, this 2014 reissue mastered/cut by KG and pressed at QRP is pretty nice.My 2 cents.
OG US pressing is easy to find and fairly inexpensive. I bought this one (1969) because it was really two cheap to pass on. But I like it the more I spin it. It's not really one I'll grab too often.
The recording on this one is nothing I would knock and the vinyl is nice.
Two recent interviews KG and BG have both crapped on half speed mastering. I'll take their word on it. Not gonna be looking to add anything with that mastering to my collection.

Half speed seems more like a gimmick than automatically sounding bad. Some halfspeeds sound okay and others sound great. A bunch of old MoFis were halfspeed Stan Ricker cuts. Pretty sure Supertramp Crime of the Century MoFi is half speed. Same with Little Feat - Waiting for Columbus and many others. I’m not a huge fan of the newer Abbey Road ones because I just don’t think I love Miles Showell’s work…My 2 cents.

That’s the one I have and think I posted earlier. I think it’s solid (even though digital source). It can still be gotten for pretty cheap!Speaking of Kevin Gray, this 2014 reissue mastered/cut by KG and pressed at QRP is pretty nice.

Yep Classic did a few. I might be interested to see which ones you have…Agree with your comment about Mr. Kassem. Very unpersonable in my experience.
Didn’t Classic Records put out some Who material way back when? If so, I think I have a couple that I’d let go.
I had emailed back and forth with the guy then I went on vacation and forgot about it. Glad it went to a good home!Ha! Yes it was! You’re welcome

I haven’t put it on the table yet, but it looks very nice, jacket wasn’t as bad as I expected either. Super excited to play it!I had emailed back and forth with the guy then I went on vacation and forgot about it. Glad it went to a good home!
I've got some ELO SR/2 cuts. They're fine for what they are ... <$5 grabs. Bernie actually talks about him in the last interview. Nothing bad and totally respectful.Half speed seems more like a gimmick than automatically sounding bad. Some halfspeeds sound okay and others sound great. That is what the Cogs show.Pretty sure Supertramp Crime of the Century MoFi is half speed.
I own 6-8 half speed remasters (ranging from INXS to Everything but the Girl to The Police) that sound amazing to my ears - I'll trust themMy 2 cents.

Dude. Not cool.Ya'll relax.
I wasn't talking about your Mom or anything unless she is half speed too.
I kid .. but take it up with the experts not the messenger.
My 2 cents.
