Definitive Audiophile pressings

I'm glad the comments don't seem to faze him as he seems to enjoy what he's doing and must be disheartening to read a few of the comments. His preference in electronic music is welcomed since many YouTubers are inclined with the more popular Jazz/Classic Rock releases. Cheers to Michael.

This is why I enjoy him and Darko, both have an interest in electronic music and ambient which most audiophile reviewers totally ignore. (I still tend to listen to him at 1.5 speed)

Now the question is how many were oversold. Their stock system is so bad - the blurb says “less than 100 copies remain” yet you can add more than 100 to your cart still, and I know about 25 people who have already ordered lol
I do feel like it's more likely that Reckoning ships than Terrapin Station. Kind of glad I inadvertently made two orders because I saw the TS listing and basically smashed buy. I don't want to be in fulfillment hell.

Ah Well, it’s doesn’t matter much now for me since I went ahead and purchased one off of Discogs for $100 bucks mainly because I was under the impression that MoFi had maxed out that title. As it has been said many times on this thread already. I which they would just have one sales operation as opposed to two (ideally sell all the albums on MoFi via MoFi and everything else from Music Direct) it would make for a more consistent experience.
Yea and another annoying thing others have pointed out—nobody knows when MoFi gets a restock if their back order is guaranteed to ship at Music Direct. It’s very frustrating.

I kind of ignore the sold out/back order designations on the MoFi site. It’s pretty inconsistent there from what I’ve seen. The only thing I really consider as a rule for MoFi is that if it’s not on the MD site anymore (or a crazy price there) it’s out of print.

So I picked up this Rolling Stones El Mocambo 1977 box set this week and I have to agree with boring German dude, this sounds amazingly good.

You fuckers are going to make me buy more records! I had to stop myself from ordering Terrapin Station because I won't be there in a week to receive it (I really want a copy of that, but having to hold back is all good considering AS's shipping to Canada + the Fedex fees). But this should still be around when I get back. Maybe even at a local in Montreal while I'm there.

I had a $20 amazon gift card that made the current price very palatable.

Today I have listened to 3 recent live albums and The Stones ran neck and neck with the Springsteen 1979 No Nukes concert for the top spot. Both were recorded, cut, and pressed exceptionally well. Prince Live is a bit noisy with static (probably needs a good cleaning) and the source recording is a bit rough in parts but the materials on all 3 is expectedly, given the artist; brilliant.

The reviews for the El Mocambo are quite excellent across the board. You're just not helping ;)
