Beat the first boss in Elden Ring last night. Spent all weekend exhausting the first map page, finding caves and encounters. It felt great to finally beat him and move on to the castle, and definitely worth spending time in the first area.

Only thing is, I’ve found like zero gear. Don’t know if I’m looking in the wrong places or if they purposely withhold near the outset so when you start gathering armor and weapons after ten hours it feels like an achievement and not just typical rpg bottomless pockets.

Magic’s still fun and viable, though.
maybe a dumb question, but the "first boss" is the giant between the pathway of the mountains with the archers shooting at you? I have failed miserably trying to beat him but I'm only level 11. I think I need to explore elsewhere and git gud first.
I just beat the False Knight in Hollow Knight. I can tell this one is gonna drag on for at least a year.
IT'S SO GOOD. I think about replaying it all the time. Fun maps/levels, engaging, awesome soundtrack, beautiful art style, extremely challenging but unique and beatable bosses. Probably one of my favorite games of all time honestly.

I'm only watching people play, but I don't think that's the first boss. That's just one of the guys on the way to the first boss...

I think it's Margit, the Fell Omen (because that's an actual name). I haven't even met that boss yet, but I'm planning on it soon.

Where do you mean mountains? Is that past the gatefront? Haven't made it there yet. I've just been doing dungeons and mini bosses so far. 11 is like 2 levels right? Or did you start with wretch?

There’s a gate with a valley or something right after the fort you encounter with a bunch of soldiers early on.

I started with the Confessor which starts at level 10 I believe

I think you’re describing the path towards the first boss. But yeah, I’m referring to Magrit; there are several mini-bosses in dungeons before that, as well as some overworks boss types such as the Forest Guardian.

Nice, I haven't gone through the gate yet. Lots of small dungeons around. Just entered the Lingrave Tunnels.

So, does anyone have any tips for playing the game of Machine Strike in Horizon Forbidden West? I can't win a game worth anything and I want to get the medals for it to work towards that platinum medal.

My issue is I always hit armor never making any damage on my opponent's pieces. Yet they always seem to one hit and remove my pieces from the board.

Damn, I was really excited and looking forward to this release. Can't say I'm surprised though. The prequel story was supposed to be available winter 2022 to play for those who pre-ordered the digital deluxe version of the game. It's not here yet and there have been no updates on it. So if that is behind schedule I guess it's no surprise the full game is as well.

Nintendo has canceled everyone's preorders for Advance Wars 1 & 2 remake that was supposed to drop on April 8th citing the war in Ukraine and now is not the time to release this game with a real world war taking place.

A new gameplay trailer for Forspoken dropped an hour ago.

With the new email they sent out along with it it appears the Prequel story no longer has early access for people who pre-ordered the digital deluxe version of Frosoken. It is now expected Spring 2023.

The main game was delayed earlier this week from May 24th to October 11th.
