Everything Video Games!

I only saw the regular options. Guess I wiffed that.

Is the Season Pass the DLC?
The Season Pass includes both DLCs and Assassin's Creed III remastered.

If you want to save money and just buy The Fate Of Atlantis it is $12.49 as opposed to $19.99.

If you haven't played the game yet you could see if PSN will give you your money back and then you could get the gold edition for $24.99. They've let me do that when my kid accidentally bought something but not sure.

Haven't personally played the DLC but I did enjoy the base game.

2, maybe; the director is different, and the levels are more linear, which removes some of the “feel.” I don’t hate it, but I’ve also only played it twice. It has its fans.

3, definitely; it’s easier than 1, but more due to quality of life and performance fixes. Plus, the graphics are nicer than 1 and 2. I’ve played this one the most (would’ve 100%-ed had I tried earlier, while multiplayer was more populated).
interesting, for $10 I might give it a shot for that cheap. I've heard good things about 3 before getting into any of these games, Elden Ring included.
Have you played Bloodborne yet? It's probably my favorite of the bunch, though I haven't played DS3 or Elden Ring yet.
I have not. I'll have to check it out.

EDIT: I cannot play it as it's a Sony exclusive game only :(
I second this, especially in light of your aversion to shields; the gameplay in BB is more action-oriented. The combination of no shields and damage regeneration when you counter-attack rewards much quicker, aggressive gameplay than Souls, which can be a literal dungeon crawl.

I will blaspheme, though, and admit I’ve only played through it once.
For real. I was rushing past enemies in some sections which was a terrible idea. It was much easier to clear every enemy one by one to progress into a new area.

If anyone gets this, highly recommend getting the gold edition. The second DLC is absolutely worth it.
Is that the one where you're in the Greek afterlife with the BIIIIIIIIIG fields and huge tower things you can climb or teleport to? or the Izu civilization metropolis city area? I really liked the former. When I finally got around to the latter, I was way to strong and kind of breezed past everything which took the fun out of it.

EDIT: or is it the one with the Greek Underworld rather than afterlife? that one was also pretty cool.

All of the above 😆. It is 3 “mini” (in open world terms) stories that all take place in the afterlife. One in elysium, hades, and Atlantis. I found it to be ABSOLUTELY gorgeous and had the best looking armor set.

+1 to being way OP by the time I got there. Enemies presented zero challenge, but I didn’t mind.

Yeah! I completely forgot which was which exactly. I really liked Elysium the most out of all of them. The others would have probably been more enjoyable had I been leveled better. I kind of remember just rushing through Atlantis so I could finish it. My only critique of that one was I recall the map being very big and detailed but not a lot of it having much of a point. There was a lot of useless areas.

Anyone here play Outrider?

With the hype surrounded in upcoming Wordslayer expansion It has grabbed my attention. What's everyones thoughts on the game. Yay or nay?

I only tried the demo way back when and it seemed ok. Definitely a game I’d try to play co-op if able.

The game felt reminiscent of Revenant from the ashes, if you played that, which I throughly enjoyed.

Outriders is on game pass if you have access.

I played the original release for a long time when it came out - then it turned to grinding. By the time they fixed it by removing the timed runs I was bored with it.

I have been playing the new Worldslayer campaign tonight - and I like it.

Seems the end game stuff is going to be more grinding, though.

Started playing Shinning Force a couple of weeks ago and I’m sad that I never played this series before. I’m not the biggest player of JRPGs but I’m really enjoying this.
I like when you’re not being attacked after taking 3 or 4 steps with your character. The only thing that pisses me off is when I’m battling winged enemies and they dodge my attack 😁

Are you starting with the first game?

SF is great, and SF2 is a big step up. If you can be bothered to figure out how to emulate it, SF3 on Saturn is also a masterpiece.

I’ll be playing SF2 once I’m finished with 1.
I’m bummed that the MegaDrive 2 mini is going to be a Japan only release because there’s going to be Sega CD games including Popful Mail on it. Maybe Nintendo will continue their support of Sega and keep adding games to the Switch.

I've got to contact sony / playstation support again it seems.

I still have the standard edition of Assassin's Creed Odyssey even after getting a refund for it and rebuying the gold version.

When I download it to my library I don't have access to the DLC or season pass. Tells me that I need to buy it.
