Leo’s do nice chips because they’re of of the very last places left that still deep fry in beef dripping but they disappointingly use pre battered frozen fish which just always tastes disappointing.

I know you are in Ireland not England but Papas is a somewhat popular Fish and Chips chain in the UK that won a BBC award at some point in the past.

Pretty much down to pizza from the local Italian, curry from the local Indian and fish n chips as my take out!

Agree with @TenderLovingKiller® (we agree on something!!!!) that pho from a really good Vietnamese place is the best but it doesn’t feel like a take away becuade it’s good food, relatively healthy and is more something I’d pick up in town during the week for lunch than as a kinda treat takeaway.

The only 2 sandwich places I eat from are Port Of Subs and Capriotti’s. Haven’t had Subway in years, but if I ever eat there, it’s always the oven roasted chicken. ToGo’s opened 2 spots recently, 1 of them right around the corner from my work, so I’m excited to eat there because they used to be my jam when I lived in So Cal.

When Cane’s first opened by me, I was pumped! But in the last year or so, the size of their fingers has been inconsistent and it makes me upset.

My daughter loves Ol’ McDonald’s. She loves their chicken nuggets and won’t eat anyone else’s nuggets. I’ll either get that or their spicy McChicken sandwich, but that’s about it. Their fries are still top tier especially when they are fresh.

In n Out is still tops for me. It was Fat Burger for a long time, but there isn’t one close to me. I’ve had Smash Burger and Shake Shack and they’re fine. I don’t do a lot of red meat, so I stick to what I like.

This might be a hot take but lettuce on any kind of burger should be immediately thrown in the trash or just tell them no lettuce please. I don’t need crunchy water blocking my taste buds.
 
I forgot about pizza. Marcos or this local place by our house. There is a Pizza Hut a half a block by our house but we prefer Marcos.

Fun Fact: My second job ever was working at Pizza Hut. District manager said I was the best pizza maker in his district. Lots of free pizza at the ready came in handy during the party days. One night after a shift, me and a buddy went to the store manger’s house to buy some weed and he starts blasting Meatloaf’s Bat Out Of Hell trying to convince us that it was awesome and we just laughed at him and called him crazy.

Marcos is alright. We have a local joint named Enzos that is our fave. I also dig Mellow Mushroom, but we have gotten contamination when ordering GF there so not likely to go there often. Marcos has a cauliflower crust @nolalady, we've eaten there a couple times without my wife getting sick.

The only way I get a fast food burger is with a lettuce wrap. In Europe, they require ff place to have gluten free buns but not here.
