Thanks! Really enjoying the new stuff.

Loving the EVO 400…. The Harbeths sound fantastic with it, even (and maybe especially?) using the EL34’s.

Looking forward to getting the finishing touches for the turntable on Monday so I can use it and the 20/20.

These next few months (probably years) are going to require distractions from the nonsense about to be unleashed on the world, and the plan is to do one of those vinyl collection playthroughs over the next several months.

I hear ya on this. I’m very happy with how my 2-ch set up has come together and am only debating changing the DAC. That’s not enough of a distraction, so I’m contemplating reworking my home theater set up over the next couple years. Happily, it’s in the basement, where I can be distracted and hide from the world simultaneously.

The A8 is really good. I bought mine used and on Audiogon for $1500. I figured I’d resell it after trying it out.

From a sound perspective my previous streaming solution of Ifi Zen Stream to Geshelli J2S is on on par. But the A8 has a lot of other functionality that I grew to appreciate. The SSD file storage and its quality preamp functionality being to primary features. So I decided to keep it.

I slow poke mine. I just don’t get it done for a minute and then get back to it. So I’m around 160 or something, but yeah, my collection is a bit bigger than that. The fact that i damn near intake a collection your size every year doesn’t help. I’ve got four cubes of unplayed stuff currently.

I slowed down on purchasing vinyl a year or so ago.. but I think i’m going to work on ramping up my jazz collection.

You guys and your 😳 making me feel like I need to splain myself. I also have an insatiable hunger for music new and old, familiar and exotic. One of the reasons I run the generator thread is to keep me honest on one of my myriad projects. I’ve been doing a play through of the Manics for over a year now. I’m usually reading six or seven books at the same time. All of this leads to me taking forever to get through anything. I think part of the reason I am so album oriented in my music habits is because I can get a listen done in 30 minutes to two hours. It makes me feel like I can completely consume something. It’s why my collection is unruly and my equipment… humble.
 
I may have done a thing...I definitely don't need another turntable but a deal came across for a new Levinson 5105 that was too good to pass up....need cart recommendations...will be feeding my Andover spin stage into my luxman integrated...help me...ugh.

may sell 1500c to fund cart....and I know the spin stage isn't revelatory, but it doesn't suck...
