January 15: Hoth Chill – Choose a song/album that evokes a frosty, isolated atmosphere.

Revisiting yesterdays description of Stankonia:

"'Stankonia' is the name of a fictional land at "the center of the earth, seven light years below sea level", which is "the place from which all 'funky thangs' come", according to the album's opening lyrics. "

I'm gonna say that the Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio are the Stankonian House Band on Hoth, creating some chill funk. If I was flying my snowspeeder out on a routine patrol over a empty frosty landscape, this would be a perfect album to groove to.

January 12: The Mandalorian Way – Play a lone wolf.

Jean Leloup "Le Dôme" (1996 Audiogram; 2016 reissue)
Jean Leloup is probably my favorite French Canadian artist and this is in my opinion his best record, a mishmash of styles reminiscent of Beck. Some may know him from his collaborations with fellow Montrealer Bran Van 3000. Leloup literally means "the wolf" and he's a solo artist, so lone wolf. He also refers to himself as "John the Wolf" in lyrics.
