Just an FYI - not really an advertised deal, but there are a number of Blue Note Tone Poet releases that have dipped to $27 (or less) on Amazon:

Sam Rivers – Contours ($27)
Gil Evans – New Bottle Old Wine ($27)
Lou Donaldson – Mr. Shing-A-Ling ($26)
Lee Morgan – Cornbread ($27)
Baby Face Willette – Face To Face ($27)
Dexter Gordon – Clubhouse ($27)
Kenny Burrell – Introducing Kenny Burrell ($27)

I actually ended up putting the order in a couple of days ago for the ones I am currently missing (Baby Face Willette, Dexter Gordon, Joe Henderson, and the Kenny Burrell pre-order) because they dipped to $26.79 which is outrageously good for the quality. I believe the Joe Henderson was a bit more ($29.99 rings a bell) but I also had a $10 voucher which I used. Even when you factor in the postage to the UK it comes to a good price (cheaper than what I can get them for here anyway.

For those of you on the hunt for Tone Poets and BN80 records I highly recommend searching Amazon.ca and use CamelCamelCamel. In pre-order I have been able to snag most of the Tone Poets for $31CDN (about $24US) and BN80 releases at $25CDN. They usually shoot up soon after they drop. Blacks and Blues shot up from $24 when I pre-ordered to $40. The Andrew Hill "Black Fire" TP is still at $31CDN in preorder.

Went to my local store today which says Jazz is a strength for them, and they didn't have any Bill Evans..

I know Im new to Jazz, but is Bill Evans an obscure Jazz artist?
No. He's one of the most influential and revered pianists in the history of the genre. However, few of his albums have acquired the praise and status that records from other artists have. IMO, the closest he's got to a "Kind of Blue", "A Love Supreme" or "Time Out" in terms of popularity and praise is "Sunday at the Village Vanguard", and its not even close. That isn't to say that it is a bad or obscure album, in fact it is one of the most praised live jazz records ever, and for good reason, but you don't see it in the wild as often as those I mentioned above, and many others in that league.

Just noticed that the OBI for the next BBE J-Jazz compilation shows two records that haven't been announced yet. These might be the next records in the Masterclass serie?

Sasaki Hideto - Sekine Toshiyuki Quartet + 1 ‎– Stop Over
Miyasaka + 5 ‎– Animals Garden

Fantastic detective work there @Skalap! I see that on 'Stop over' they have a Soultrane track, always been a favourite of mine, its fantastic on Tadd Dameron & John Coltrane's 'Mating Call'.
