Jazz

Following @OMC advice to setup a mono switch.
Had some free amazon bucks so trying this $15 y-cable SHF trick to see how it sounds.

Testing it out on this 6-eye Duke release (promo copy).

The vinyl looks brand new.
Super cool find for $15.
Initial thoughts are great. Need to spend some time listening more.

This is interesting, can you please share a link to the cable you went for? Or a name?

I bought the used options

And where do you go from there? How are they connected? Is that your turntable interconnect lying on the surface that's plugged into these DIY cables, which are then plugged into your phono pre? (And I assume all of this has to be removed to get back to stereo?)

These y cables are just an intermediary cable install for playing mono records.
Remove when going back to ST.
Probably not for everyone but it's an easy 10 second swap for my setup since everything is on the table top easy to reach. Most prefer a permanent switch installed. However, I don't necessarily want another link in the chain permanently since I'm 90% ST.

My phono stage is in my amp. TT to amp. No separates.

I gotta say it's an improvement in sound and it appears to work great based on initial listening.

Art Pepper Meet's Mono are back if you missed the RSD.

They also had some in scratch and dent, if any are still left.

I've not kept up to date lately, so apologies if this has been posted already but though I'd share the new releases from WallenBink. All AAA from the master tapes. Looks like some interesting sessions from the likes of Art Farmer, Joe Henderson, Clifford Jordan & Charles Tolliver

Available from Honest Jons as well (don't know if the International shipping is cheaper from them)

FYI, Plaid Room has used jazz on their website now.

Such as this great album:
