Movies

I didn't dislike the movie. I just thought it was too long but I do want to know what happens. I might try the theatrical.

I exclusively watch (and genuinely prefer) the extended editions, but part of the pleasure of these films for me is the sense of immersion. I understand why someone would prefer the theatricals; they have significantly less fat.
Same. But I'm the guy who wants the fat. I wanted to see the Hobbits taking back the Shire. I wanted to see Tom Bombadil (though I agree with their decision to leave him out).

They did what they should have done with the theatrical releases. The Extended Editions are for the nerds, like me, who just want more.

Probably the same reason The White Album is my favorite Beatles record. I love an ambitious mess.

Very cool 2021 documentary about George Martin's Air Montserrat Studio, which had a great 10 year run only to be ruined by Hurricane Hugo, then the island wiped out by a volcanic eruption

I watched this one last year as part of SXSW. Took a drink every time a musician spoke about how charmingly primal and untouched the island was, and two drinks when they followed that up with a story about buying property on the island. I was obliterated.

Licorice Pizza is exactly what I had hoped it would be, a nostalgic love letter to 1970s LA much in the way American Graffiti or Once Upon A Time In Hollywood were for Lucas and Tarantino respectively. I am sure this will be a film that I revisit in multiple occasions. Alana Haim and Cooper Hoffman we’re both fantastic. Loved it.

I really wish it was available to stream somewhere. Sucks living in the middle of nowhere where the only things that come to theaters are blockbusters and random religious movies.

I Downloaded a HD Webrip and watched on my TV via an HDMI connection. I would love to see it in the theater though.

Uh yeah same here... I would have bought it to stream but they just haven't even acknowledged some people don't want to go to the theaters still. Soooo...I don't feel bad about it. Wouldn't anyway. Though it's nice to support a movie like this cause it's not the same old shit.
