Sometimes with the extended versions I just split them into 6 sessions since they have built-in intermissions anyway.I didn't dislike the movie. I just thought it was too long but I do want to know what happens. I might try the theatrical.
This is the correct take. Coming from someone who has read the Silmarillion and multiple Christopher Tolkien works. The theatrical versions are where it's at. They're paced much better than the extended (which are fun in there own way). You may think you're not invested now, but by halfway through the 3rd movie you'll wonder when you started crying.
Same. But I'm the guy who wants the fat. I wanted to see the Hobbits taking back the Shire. I wanted to see Tom Bombadil (though I agree with their decision to leave him out).I exclusively watch (and genuinely prefer) the extended editions, but part of the pleasure of these films for me is the sense of immersion. I understand why someone would prefer the theatricals; they have significantly less fat.
Probably the same reason The White Album is my favorite Beatles record. I love an ambitious mess.Same. But I'm the guy who wants the fat. I wanted to see the Hobbits taking back the Shire. I wanted to see Tom Bombadil (though I agree with their decision to leave him out).
They did what they should have done with the theatrical releases. The Extended Editions are for the nerds, like me, who just want more.

Not gonna lie, I almost quit the books because of Tom Bombadil.
Very cool 2021 documentary about George Martin's Air Montserrat Studio, which had a great 10 year run only to be ruined by a volcanic eruption
I really wish it was available to stream somewhere. Sucks living in the middle of nowhere where the only things that come to theaters are blockbusters and random religious movies.Licorice Pizza is exactly what I had hoped it would be, a nostalgic love letter to 1970s LA much in the way American Graffiti or Once Upon A Time In Hollywood were for Lucas and Tarantino respectively. I am sure I this will be a film that I revisit in multiple occasions. Alana Haim and Cooper Hoffman we’re both fantastic. Loved it.
I Downloaded a HD Webrip and watched on my TV via an HDMI connection. I would love to see it in the theater though.I really wish it was available to stream somewhere. Sucks living in the middle of nowhere where the only things that come to theaters are blockbusters and random religious movies.

The way I see it is it, Amazon purchased MGM and this will likely be streaming it sooner or later anyhow. So what the big deal if I download it and watch it now or stream it later?I Downloaded a HD Webrip and watched on my TV via an HDMI connection. I would love to see it in the theater though.
Uh yeah same here... I would have bought it to stream but they just haven't even acknowledged some people don't want to go to the theaters still. Soooo...I don't feel bad about it. Wouldn't anyway. Though it's nice to support a movie like this cause it's not the same old shit.I Downloaded a HD Webrip and watched on my TV via an HDMI connection. I would love to see it in the theater though.
If your "resourceful", there are ways, but thats your call of course.I really wish it was available to stream somewhere. Sucks living in the middle of nowhere where the only things that come to theaters are blockbusters and random religious movies.
That’s the best chapter.I started watching The Last Duel last night…pretty enjoyable movie. I am about to start the 3rd chapter later
