Movies

They added The Great Race to HBOMAX. It's one of my all time favorite classics that I probably watched 50 times as a kid. I'm making my wife watch it with me for the first time and she's much less enthused than I am. But don't trust her, if you haven't seen this you should watch it. It has the greatest pie fight in cinematic history.

It’s in both - I’ve seen both versions (not recently though) and I don’t remember them cutting anything major out for the theatrical version (for that part of the movie).
Ok so i did watch the theatrical Two Towers. I enjoyed it! The pacing of this movie was much better than the first (not sure if that's due to the extended on the first movie). I'd have to say that I did think it was a great battle scene but stuff like Game of Thrones probably ruined some of the magic for me - altho GOT's massive battles occurred much later than this was filmed (and if i were to guess probably heavily influenced). I'm sure this was amazing for it's time.

It was entirely unprecedented in scale. Keep in mind the CGI was being crafted on 2003 era beige PCs with big 4:3 CRT screens. The PS2 was cutting edge.

We should have Drive My Car tomorrow on HBO. For those without access, it's a rental starting at $2.99 on VUDU.

The new Scream flick appears to be already available as a rental as well. That feels too quick, but there it is.

For those that have been waiting patiently, Red Rocket, Belfast and C'mon C'Mon are also decently priced rentals.

Postscript to a Burst Appendix: an invincible comet speeds on its guided arc toward the outer reaches of the galaxy in cosmic space-time. What was our cause?”

As expected, I found The French Dispatch to be quite enjoyable. It’s what I had hoped and was not disappointed. I can’t wait to watch it again.

Just saw this came to HBO Max. I usually enjoy Wes Anderson fare, so I'll probs watch it soon.
