For me, I see Michael Shannon as the worthy successor to those Christopher Walken, intense/slightly imbalanced sort of roles.Has anyone in history ever been so effortlessly cool

I can see that. Shannon has a definitely more brutish look, whereas Walken seemed to initially disarm you with his quirky "familiarness"For me, I see Michael Shannon as the worthy successor to those Christopher Walken, intense/slightly imbalanced sort of roles.
Douglas definitely wasn't taking any shit from anyone
Not to take away from Michael Shannon, since I fully endorse the statement. But I always thought Fredrick Douglas looked bad ass in all his photos.
Just watched The Night Before the other night, and hes great in there.
I rewatched Groundhoug Day recently and did a doubletake when I saw him in it. I'm like wait, that's....that can't be... Michael?Just watched The Night Before the other night, and hes great in there.
It's been awhile, so I had no idea he was in there either.I rewatched Groundhoug Day recently and did a doubletake when I saw him in it. I'm like wait, that's....that can't be... Michael?
That’s a very Walken-esque comedic role. His burning intensity is what makes him probably the best and funniest part of that movie.Just watched The Night Before the other night, and hes great in there.

I have original pressings of both but I've been awful tempted. The anniversary pressings of their earliest albums were quite good.Nice! I hadn’t seen that one. Slightly different vibe than Walken’s Fatboy Slims “Weapon Of Choice” video but the fact that artists wants him in their music video speaks volumes.
This reminds me I wanted to pick up some of the recent Deerhoof reissues I think there are anniversary pressings for of Apple O and Milk Man that need to be in my collection.
