Movies

I think i'm gonna have to give this one a slight edge over Predator 2 as the worst one in the series. Almost all the characters are annoying to flat out douchebags. Too much (iffy) CGI Predators and blood. Bad story and that ending is just terrible.

"Thumbs down" as they say.

bummer to see Shane Black crash and burn so hard with this one

Wow Talk To Me was a great experience. The theater itself was one of the cooler ones I’ve been in. And it was totally packed - had to wait in a loooong line until I got to the front and realized I could have skipped the line as an AAA24 member.

Anyway, the movie was I think one of the better horror films I’ve seen in a while. It’s fairly straightforward plot wise you’ve seen the trailer, but still surprising in how disturbing I found it. There are just certain shots and certain sequences that really create a genuinely scary mood. It’s also a brisk hour and a half, so it moves nicely especially once it really amps up. I don’t know how much I love loved it, but as far as just general horror films go, it’s a really good one. I wouldn’t be surprised if it got a lot of buzz going and became a little hit once it releases in theaters.

I thought it was the weakest of these last four but still a good time. They gave us nearly three hours of Hayley Atwell in a pantsuit and Pom Klementieff as a murder gremlin.
The villain was so stupid and I hated how they kept needing to explain what was happening.

The car chase scene was rad though. My buddy described the movie as “exhausting” and that’s kinda how I felt about it. Might have been my least favorite in the whole series

First time watching Dunkirk and somehow I find myself more confused than during Tenet. Feel this one could’ve used a bit more beefing up on the back story or maybe it’s just not for me.
I adore Dunkirk and its bananas narrative structure, but I think it is pretty divisive.

Cool MacGuffin but I agree the villain performance is mediocre. I’d probably place it…fifth in the franchise ranking? Ahead of the second and third entries.

Dunkirk is really good but it’s not great for watching passively, the first time I watched it I had to keep rewinding because I would be doing other things and would miss moments that would make things confusing. Once I committed to putting away other distractions and giving the film my complete attention I really enjoyed the experience.
