I am the only radical leftist on this board that I'm aware of. Calling folks who land barely left of center "radical" is a very American right-wing thing, but is not accurate. It's totally legitimate to call out and even mock major political figures, provided the content isn't racist/sexist/etc. It's true that as the majority of the board in general is center/left of center, and thus the overall content tends to reflect that, but the current administration's mismanagement of a growing crisis is certainly fair game at any time--we just haven't had the government reversal of the situation during the board lifetime.

For the Craft Beer industry, around 2/3 or more of their business is with restaurants / bars rather.

With bars and restaurants closed no orders are coming in and it's not ideal to to keep brewing and stock piling beer. Especially those beers that have a shorter shelf life.

These shut downs means we will not likely see summer seasonal beers and if we do they will will be later than normal.

Many small Craft Breweries are struggling financially as well. It is not clear if all will be able to recover from this and reopen once all is said and done.

There are 2 breweries in my neighborhood, and one has ceased production while the other is now doing online ordering and delivery or curbside crowler and food pick-up. They say they're still brewing, so I hope the neighborhood keeps supporting them.

For example, I started not feeling well Sunday morning, probably because I hadn’t eaten. I checked my temp after breakfast and it was 97.7 up from 96 that morning. I’m normally in the 94-95 range. Next thing I knew I was having a full blown panic attack. If my wife hadn’t been around I probably would have spiraled into needing an emergency department visit.

I don't think that is an option here legally. The food truck sure is not. Curbside pickup possibly but wouldn't generate enough business to keep the production line open.
As for delivery, that's a no go as well. I haven't heard if it passed yet, but they were working on passing a bill to allow alcohol to be delivered with your food order / delivery.

That would require a food delivery along with the beer delivery.

Yeah, I know it's tougher in some of those OG Puritan areas and parts of the Bible Belt. Meanwhile Oregon's been considering allowing to-go cocktails from restaurants.

Another issue I just thought of is the types of licenses needed in this state.

They need a license to operate a tap room.
They need a license to sell beer on site to go.


I know Berkshire Brewing Company only has a license to operate a tap room, which they finally got in the last couple years. They have been in business for more than 20 years. They do not have a license to sell beer on site to go. So they can't sell canned beer, growlers and crawlers.

Many older craft beer companies don't have tap rooms. That wasn't a thing until the last 5 years so anything older than that probably doesn't have a tap room.

luckily we have two full baths, one of which is right next to the guest bedroom, so that's all hers for now. but she's living in the smallest room of the house 24/7 so that's been rough on her, as well as keeping distance from two toddlers that want nothing more than to see her.

taking care of her, the boys, the dog and cats single handedly has been fucking exhausting but like I said it seems to be working.

Some major cities have relaxed these rules. Allowing businesses to sell alcoholic beverages to go and so forth. I know they have in Atlanta, at least.

Same here in Tampa!! Each entree food item ordered can come with 2 to go margs. If you order 3 items you can get 6 margs to go (they assume it's 2 per person, but they must not know about my love for margs and leftover mexican food)

He's been vocal about how he's going to keep doing it because Church is essential and it's in his Constitutional Rights. He is a powerful dude around here with a big following, but just put some guidelines into place like everyone else has. He says if police stations and hospitals are open so will my church.....Just have streamed services, or add more services with less people so everyone can sit 6 feet apart or more idk.


His attitude towards the city is what got him in trouble. He had this attitude where they didn't have to change anything they were doing and the church is above the rules.
