stealing parts of your list to say these are the ones I'm excited for this Friday

I am totally in love with the new Sylvan Esso album. I have been a big fan of all their albums. I actually think What Now is so criminally underrated, it was my AOTY when it came out. This one though is such a nice change up for the more understated work they did on the previous LP. I love how busy it is. It's just a joy to listen to from a sonic perspective.

Similarly, the new Panda Bear just hits so close to providing what I love so much about Person Pitch and even Tomboy. It's not quite on those levels yet, but it's his best since them I think. It's just got so many great textures and melodies and interesting, fun vocal deliveries. I liked Grim Reaper a bit, but since then I've been underwhelmed. This one makes me a fan again.

Oh I guess I should have mentioned Sonic Boom when talking about Panda Bear ^^

He's obviously an integral part to Reset. It does sound like a continuation of their work on Grim Reaper, but more sample-based. But it also sounds like his solo record from 2020 that I didn't pay much attention to. Yet now here I am listening to that and thinking it's way better than I originally thought it was.

As this is the first release day Friday in August where I actually have a radar 📡 list, I figured I would share the albums I'm anticipating.
